Originally acquired in the 2022 offseason, Hill helped turn first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa into the future of the Miami Dolphins, but his off-field antics combined with a drop in productivity may lead to an early departure. Rumors of Hill’s unhappiness occurred throughout the season but reached a boiling point when he took himself out of the regular season finale and demanded a trade following their season-ending loss.

While Hill has since apologized for his comments and appears content to return to Miami, the feeling may not be mutual. While a trade isn’t imminent, NFL.com’s Cameron Wolfe recently noted the Dolphins are listening to trade offers for Tyreek Hill and “are not 100% certain” they won’t send him off during the offseason.

Dolphins not expected to put the franchise tag on safety Jevón Holland putting him on track to test free agency as top player at his position, barring any surprises.

For @nflnetwork The Insiders nuggets on Holland, Terron Armstead, Tyreek Hill & interesting #Dolphins offseason: pic.twitter.com/OzsosJfg7t

— Cameron Wolfe (@CameronWolfe) February 19, 2025

Report: Dolphins Still Considering A Tyreek Hill Trade

The Dolphins knew Tyreek Hill came with off-field headaches when they decided to trade for him three years ago. However, at the time, Hill was arguably the game’s most dangerous wide receiver, and his on-field play easily justified the off-field distractions. However, that might not be the case anymore. While he’s still a good football player, he finished the 2024 season with just 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns and missed the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

A borderline 1,000-yard receiver is still a valuable weapon in today’s NFL, but the Dolphins won’t hesitate to trade Tyreek Hill if someone makes a big enough offer. With former first-round pick Jaylen Waddle capable of being a legitimate WR1, Miami could send the one-time Super Bowl champion to a new home. In no particular order, the following three teams make the most sense as a potential destination.

Possible Destinations

Kansas City Chiefs

If any team knows how to deal with Tryeek Hill, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs. While he had his best numbers with Miami, Hill originally established himself as one of the league’s premier talents under head coach Andy Reid. While they ultimately sent Hill to the Miami Dolphins, the wide receiver didn’t burn any bridges on his way out of town. The Chiefs have a promising young speedster in first-round pick Xavier Worthy, but they could use a proven veteran like Hill given the uncertainty surrounding Rashee Rice.

Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders made it to the NFC Championship Game with a rookie quarterback, a first-year head coach, and a roster that went 4-13 one year earlier. The sky is the limit for this organization, and the time is now to go all-in on the future. Terry McLaurin is still a great wide receiver, but he can’t carry the entire passing offense by himself. The Dolphins would probably prefer to trade Tyreek Hill to an NFC team like the Commanders, and the veteran could give budding superstar Jayden Daniels one of the best receiver duos in football.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers should focus most of their resources on the defensive side of the ball, but they shouldn’t completely ignore the offense. While youngsters Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, and tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders all showed promise as rookies, none of them are guaranteed superstars. With Adam Thielen slowing down, Hill could provide Bryce Young with a proven target who can still stretch the defense and make a difference in a weak NFC South.

Main Photo: Ken Blaze – Imagn Images

The Miami Dolphins could trade Tyreek Hill, as one prominent NFL insider suggests the team could ship him if they receive the right offer.

[4,36
7811,7777,246,7661,297
post-219474","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dolphins","category-nfl-news","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-miami-dolphins-news","tag-nfl-news","tag-panthers-featured","tag-tyreek-hill
["GET
