Injuries decimated the receiving corps, and C.J. Stroud went through a sophomore slump. One player who continued his stellar play from 2023 was Nico Collins. The former Michigan receiver proved he belongs amongst the elite. This is the dynasty outlook for Nico Collins in an exciting Texans offense.

Nico Collins: Dynasty Outlook for Star Texans Receiver

Current Production

Collins started the season in incredible form. He was the WR2 before an injury in Week 5, which kept him out until Week 11. He totaled over 100 receiving yards in three of his first four weeks and was on pace to do it again in Week 5. Unfortunately, Collins slowed down a bit after returning from his injury. He only scored over 20 fantasy points once in the final seven weeks.

He still finished with 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns in just 12 games. Collins notably plays much better at home than on the road, as six of his seven touchdowns came at NRG stadium, continuing a trend from 2023. He enjoyed a great season, but had it not been for his hamstring injury, it could have been a legendary one. He still finished as the WR7 in points per game, cementing himself as a true fantasy WR1.

Collins Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut, Collins is the WR8 in dynasty and the 20th-ranked player overall. It goes without saying that with ranks like those, he won’t come cheap. On FantasyCalc, most trades featuring Collins include multiple first-round picks or other fantasy superstars such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, De’Von Achane, or Drake London.

Collins will be one of the toughest players to acquire in dynasty, and with good reason. He’s entering his prime and has been producing elite numbers for two seasons now. If you want to trade for him, be ready to part ways with some of your most valuable pieces.

Collins Dynasty Outlook

Coming into the season, there was a slight worry that Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell would eat too much into Collins’ volume. This season proved that those worries were baseless, as Collins left no doubt as to who the best receiver in Houston is. He signed a contract extension with the Texans in 2024, so he’s tied down until at least 2027.

Collins is only 25, so he still has a lot left in the tank. These next three seasons should be his peak years. Dell is recovering from a serious injury and Diggs may leave in free agency, so Collins will have to shoulder the load even more at the start of 2025. His combination of size, speed, and end zone threat make Collins a seriously dangerous receiver who will wreak havoc for years to come.

What to Do With Nico Collins in Dynasty Leagues

Unless you’re seriously desperate in other positions, hold on to Collins. He’s a genuinely outstanding receiver who only seems to be getting better and is a tremendous dynasty piece to have. He’s not as young as someone like Brian Thomas Jr. or Malik Nabers, but he could be the overall WR1 next season, and it wouldn’t be too much of a shock.

Main Photo: Troy Taormina-Imagn Images

Nico Collins established himself as one of the NFL’s best receivers in 2024 and as Houston’s WR1.
