However, all three of these running backs should still be considered buy-low targets for dynasty leagues heading into the 2025 season.

Note: A player being “buy low” means their value now is lower than what it will be when the season begins in late August or early September. These quarterbacks may require a first-round pick and/or players to acquire.

Three Buy-Low Running Backs for Dynasty Leagues

Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb had an injury-riddled season for the Cleveland Browns, but he wasn’t an efficient runner when healthy. Chubb posted 332 yards on 103 carries — an average of 3.3 yards per carry. He scored just three touchdowns on the ground with another one in the air. As a pass catcher, he posted five receptions for 31 yards.

In fantasy, Chubb finished as the RB58 with a mere 58.3 fantasy points in standard leagues (Average of 7.3 per game). PPR stats weren’t much better as he finished with 68.3 fantasy points as the RB59 (Average of 7.9 per game).

However, there is an opportunity for Chubb in 2025. Even as a free agent, the Browns are going to be likely to give him one last chance. With a rookie quarterback likely in the plans, they’re going to want an experienced running back to take away some pressure. Chubb will have his opportunities to get lots of touches with the Browns next year and redeem himself in fantasy.

You could acquire Chubb for a second-round pick or even two third-round picks as a buy-low running back.

Isiah Pacheco

Isiah Pacheco is very similar to Chubb with how his season was disrupted due to injuries. Pacheco mustered a total of 310 yards with one rushing touchdown over 83 carries. He added 12 receptions for 79 yards in the passing game.

Pacheco finished even lower than Chubb as the RB61 in standard leagues and PPR leagues. To say his season was a disappointment for the Kansas City Chiefs is an understatement.

The optimism for Pacheco is the organization will chalk it up to injuries and give him chances in 2025 when healthy. They know what he can do when he’s injury free as he totaled over 1,700 yards on the ground in his first two seasons. Pacheco has always been more of an RB2 from a fantasy perspective.

Pacheco’s price in dynasty leagues is identical to Chubb’s where he can be acquired for second-round pick or a second and third to really sweeten the deal.

James Conner

James Conner has been as steady of an RB2 in fantasy as you may get. He’s coming off of his second straight 1,000-yard season with the Arizona Cardinals after never accomplishing that in Pittsburgh. Even with Trey Benson hovering over his shoulder, he still got the job done.

In fantasy, Conner finished as the RB8 in standard leagues with 206.8 fantasy points (12.9 per game). In PPR, he dropped to the RB11 with 253.8 fantasy points (11.9 per game). Conner is more of a true runner than he is a pass catcher, so his best value comes in standard leagues. However, getting 11.9 points per game from an RB2 in PPR is something to appreciate.

There’s two things that push Conner into the buy-low category for running backs. Outside of Ashton Jeanty, there aren’t many running backs who look to be starters in Week 1. That’s why Conner is buy-low now because most people won’t realize this until it’s too late. He also falls into this category because of his injury history, and it’s almost a guarantee for him to miss at least three games every season.

Conner’s price in dynasty leagues varies between a late first-round pick and mid second-round pick or a player in a comparable situation such as Tyrone Tracy or Najee Harris.

Main Photo Courtesy of Jim Dedmon – Imagn Images

Running backs are the essence of fantasy football, and these three players should be on your radar as buy-low targets in dynasty leagues.

[59,32631
9741,9504,9537,2364,3584
post-214940","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","category-dynasty","tag-dynasty-buy-low","tag-dynasty-fantasy-football","tag-isiah-pacheco","tag-james-conner","tag-nick-chubb
["GET
