The Senior Bowl is the official start of the 2025 NFL Draft process where college football stars get a chance to shine in front of NFL coaches and scouts. The Seahawks are going to spare no expense in selecting players who could help the team. There are a few players who had a great week at the Senior Bowl that the Seahawks should keep high on their radar.

Senior Bowl Players the Seattle Seahawks Need on Their Radar

Grey Zabel – North Dakota State Guard

The offensive line is going to be the most critical position group the Seahawks evaluate this offseason. Luckily for them, the Senior Bowl had plenty of players in the position who stood out with a solid performance throughout the week. North Dakota State tackle Grey Zabel stood out the most by dominating at the interior offensive line.

Zabel was put at the guard and center positions for the week. Despite the position change, Zabel was one of the most consistent offensive linemen on both rosters.

At 6’6 and 305 pounds, Zabel was one of the most consistent tackles at the FCS level this past season. Zabel has shown stability throughout the offensive line at different positions, which is something the Seahawks have a high interest in. Seattle experienced instability at the interior offensive tackle and depth problems at tackle.

Zabel has likely boosted himself into the first round in many teams’ draft boards. The Seahawks should consider Zabel a first-round prospect to potentially avoid losing him. He plays multiple positions and will fill in as a starter in one of the most needed areas immediately.

Mason Taylor – LSU Tight End

Mason Tayor had several good, but not great moments for the LSU Tigers. In three seasons with the Tigers, Taylor caught 129 receptions for 1,308 yards and six touchdowns. He showed more of being in the NFL in one week of the Senior Bowl than three seasons at LSU.

Taylor displayed excellent route-running abilities and his aggressiveness and focus to make contested catches. He was able to play up to his potential in front of NFL scouts and coaches through multiple settings. There was a possibility that the Tigers’ offense didn’t highlight Taylor’s potential to account for big-game moments.

The Seahawks like tight ends that can get open consistently and make solid mid-range plays. Taylor could be a solid weapon for the Seahawks’ offense and available at some point in the middle of the draft.

Shemar James – Florida Linebacker

Another player who could be available in the middle of the draft or later is Florida linebacker Shemar James. James accumulated 165 total tackles, 70 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks and three pass breakups. He was one of the most versatile defenders in the Senior Bowl throughout the Senior Bowl.

Just like he displayed in his three seasons at Florida, James showed his consistency in making tackles, taking proper pursuit angles and flipping his hips to shift into man or zone coverage. James had one of the better performances of all linebackers as he felt comfortable playing his last game before the NFL in his hometown of Mobile. He would be a solid later-round addition to the Seahawks and be able an early contributor.

Main Photo Courtesy of Vasha Hunt – Imagn Images

The Seattle Seahawks made an appearance in Mobile for the 2025 Senior Bowl where several players should keep on their radar.

[32,1647
33135,33014,179,33205,33279
post-214601","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-seahawks","category-nfl-draft","tag-grey-zabel","tag-mason-taylor","tag-seattle-seahawks","tag-senior-bowl","tag-shemar-james
["GET
