Travis Hunter, Colorado

While it remains unclear what position he will play, Travis Hunter is an elite talent at both wide receiver and cornerback. The 2024 Heisman Winner is projected to be a top-three pick in this year’s draft. Hunter possesses exceptional athleticism, football IQ, body control, and run-after-catch ability. These characteristics make him a very special prospect, with the potential to play on both sides of the ball. While his NFL landing spot will ultimately decide what position he will play, it’s difficult not to include Hunter as an offensive weapon. The Colorado prospect could transform how NFL teams think about players being used in multiple positions.

NFL comparison: Garrett Wilson

Best landing spots: Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots

2. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

While he may not be the flashiest player, Emeka Egbuka may be the most polished wide receiver of the 2025 draft. Egbuka is a very detailed route-runner who excels in intermediate routes. His fluid movement allows him to gain separation early, operating effectively on quick passing plays. Egbuka has also improved his play each season, having been surrounded by a wealth of wide receiver talent at Ohio State. In the right offensive scheme, Egbuka could thrive in the NFL as a “chain-mover” type player.

NFL comparison: Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Best landing spots: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos

3. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

Tetairoa McMillan possesses a versatile blend of size, speed, and strong hands. While many will have him ranked higher due to these traits, McMillan struggles to produce separation at times. The Arizona prospect could find it difficult against man coverage in the NFL, but will nonetheless provide game-breaking potential. At 6’5, 212 pounds, McMillan also has room to fill out his frame and has the tools to be an alpha wide receiver in the league. McMillan is often likened to a young Mike Evans with his contested catch ability and prowess to win matchups at all levels of the field.

NFL comparison: Mike Evans

Best landing spots: New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers

4. Luther Burden III, Missouri

Luther Burden III is a dynamic playmaker with sheer explosive ability. Despite having a down year in 2024 with poor QB play and a nagging shoulder injury, Burden has the potential to be a YAC monster in the NFL. Burden excels with the ball in his hands, while also showcasing alignment versatility and big play potential. Although Burden primarily operates in the slot, the right landing spot could see him have an immediate impact in a creative offensive system.

NFL comparison: Deebo Samuel

Best landing spots: Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders

5. Isaiah Bond, Texas

Isaiah Bond is a tremendous athlete with exceptional speed. With a 40-time of 4.28, Bond stretches the field vertically and is a threat to beat any defender down the field. Bond had a breakout season in his first season at Texas, recording 364 yards and three touchdowns in his first three games. While his consistency at the NFL level will depend on his explosive big-play ability, Bond has one of the highest ceilings of any WR prospect in the 2025 draft.

NFL comparison: Darnell Mooney

Best landing spots: Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams

Main Photo: Troy Taormina – USA Today Sports

The 2024 college football season is over.
