After Jones failed to build on his uninspiring 2023 and Tommy DeVito disappointed, Lock finished the season as New York&#8217;s starting quarterback. Appearing in eight games while making five starts, the veteran finished the season with a 1-4 record while completing 59.1% of his passes for 1,071 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions. Selected by the Denver Broncos, then-General Manager John Elway believed the Missouri product could be the long-awaited heir to Peyton Manning. Beginning the year on the bench, Lock started down the stretch and showed plenty of promise as a rookie. In his five starts, Lock completed 64.1% of his passes for 1,020 yards, seven touchdowns, and three interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Lock entered 2020 as Denver&#8217;s starting quarterback but couldn&#8217;t build on his rookie success. Starting and appearing in 13 games, Lock completed just 57.3% of his passes for 2,933 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a league-high 15 interceptions. Following this disappointing season, Denver included the former second-round pick as part of the Russell Wilson trade.<\/p>\n<p>Widely expected to take over the starting job in Seattle, Lock lost the starting battle to veteran Geno Smith. In total, the quarterback spent two years in Seattle, making four appearances and two starts in place of the injured veteran.
