Week two in the\u00a0NFL\u00a0<\/strong>saw some big names land on the injury list.\u00a0Adrian Peterson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0Minnesota Vikings<\/strong> and\u00a0DeMarcus Ware<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0Denver Broncos<\/strong> are just two of the high-profile players who were injured in week two. Below is a list of the key injuries to hit some of the NFL teams during action in week two.<\/p>\n

Adrian Peterson and DeMarcus Ware Lead List of NFL Injuries in Week Two<\/h2>\n

Minnesota Vikings – running back Adrian Peterson<\/strong><\/p>\n

Peterson left Sunday Night’s game against the\u00a0Green Bay Packers\u00a0<\/strong>with an injury to his right knee, and needed to be helped to the locker room. An MRI on Monday revealed that the All-Pro\u00a0<\/strong>running back tore his meniscus in his right knee, but head coach\u00a0Mike Zimmerman<\/strong> hasn’t ruled Peterson out for week three.\u00a0In 2011, Peterson tore his ACL and MCL ligaments in his left knee.<\/p>\n

Denver Broncos – defensive end DeMarcus Ware<\/strong><\/p>\n

DeMarcus Ware suffered a fracture in his forearm during the\u00a0Denver Broncos\u00a0<\/strong>34-20 win over the\u00a0Indianapolis Colts\u00a0<\/strong>on Sunday. The nine-time\u00a0Pro-Bowler\u00a0<\/strong>fractured his ulna, which is one of two bones that’s in the forearm, and could miss three to four weeks, according to\u00a0Pro Football Talk<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>Ware will undergo further testing on Monday to see if surgery will be necessary. As long as the bones haven’t shifted in his forearm, Ware could play through the injury with a protective cast on.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Browns – quarterback\u00a0Josh McCown<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Quarterback\u00a0Josh McCown\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0Cleveland Browns\u00a0<\/strong>suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday’s 25-20 loss to the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens.\u00a0<\/strong>According to\u00a0Mary Kay Cabot\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0<\/a>Plain Dealer,\u00a0<\/strong>the Browns are preparing themselves to be without the veteran signal caller for at least several weeks.<\/p>\n

McCown is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. This will be the second quarterback in as many weeks to be injured for the Browns. Third-round pick\u00a0Cody Kessler\u00a0<\/strong>will make his first\u00a0NFL\u00a0<\/strong>start next Sunday against the\u00a0Miami Dolphins\u00a0<\/strong>if McCown is unable to play.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots – quarterback\u00a0Jimmy Garoppolo<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jimmy Garoppolo\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0New England Patriots\u00a0<\/strong>injured his throwing shoulder in the second quarter of the Patriots 31-24 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Garoppolo has been diagnosed with a sprained AC joint and as of now, is expected to miss Thursday Night’s game against the\u00a0Houston Texans.\u00a0<\/strong>The Patriots are likely to go with\u00a0Jacoby Brissett<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>if Garoppolo is unable to go, per\u00a0Ian Rapoport\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0NFL Network.<\/strong><\/p>\n

San Diego Chargers – running back\u00a0Danny Woodhead<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The San Diego Chargers multi-purpose running back,\u00a0Danny Woodhead,\u00a0<\/strong>will miss the rest of the 2016 season with a torn ACL in his right knee. Woodhead suffered the injury during the Chargers 38-14 win over the\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars\u00a0<\/strong>on Sunday. Woodhead was carted off the field in the first quarter after being tackled by Jaguars linebacker\u00a0Telvin Smith<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on a four-yard reception.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Colts – wide receiver\u00a0Donte Moncrief<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Wide receiver Donte Moncrief\u00a0<\/b>of the\u00a0Indianapolis Colts\u00a0<\/strong>was forced from Sunday’s game against the\u00a0Denver Broncos\u00a0<\/strong>with what the team said was a head and neck injury. Moncrief is scheduled for an MRI on Monday for his shoulder, according to\u00a0Adam Schefter<\/strong><\/a> of\u00a0ESPN<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Miami Dolphins – RB Arian Foster<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dolphins running back\u00a0Arian Foster<\/strong>\u00a0will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injured groin that he suffered during the Dolphins 31-24 loss to the\u00a0New England Patriots\u00a0<\/strong>on Sunday. Given Foster’s history of groin injuries with the\u00a0Houston Texans,\u00a0<\/strong>don’t be surprised if the Dolphins hold Foster out of next Sunday’s home opener against the\u00a0Cleveland Browns.<\/strong><\/p>\n
