They\u2019re coming off a disastrous Week 15 road loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/broncos\/\" target=\"_self\">Denver Broncos<\/a>. The Colts started the game off great, looking like they were going to pull off an impressive upset. They were slated to go up 19-7, but Jonathan Taylor\u2019s 41-yard touchdown was overturned when he <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/42995788\/jonathan-taylor-drops-ball-end-zone-colts-loss\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dropped the ball<\/a> before crossing the goal line. The Colts were then outscored 24-0 and lost the contest 31-13.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<div class=\"ad-unit__content\">\n<p>Indianapolis will close out the regular season, facing the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/titans\/\" target=\"_self\">Tennessee Titans<\/a>, New York Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguars. The three teams have a whopping eight wins combined. Needless to say, all of those games are very winnable. But, of course, that doesn\u2019t guarantee the Colts will win all three.<\/p>\n<p>If the Colts do win out, they\u2019ll finish with a 9-8 record for the second consecutive year. And they\u2019ll miss the playoffs just like last year unless a huge miracle happens. Indy has only an <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/standings\/playoff-picture\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">11 percent chance<\/a> of reaching the postseason. Yeah, that&#8217;s not good at all. A lot of unlikely things will have to take place for the Colts to land a wild card spot.<\/p>\n<h2>Will the Indianapolis Colts Win Their Remaining Three Games of the Season?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<h3 data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:340,&quot;h&quot;:165}\">Week 16, Home vs. Tennessee Titans (3-11)<\/h3>\n<p>The Titans recently <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/12\/18\/tennessee-titans-make-significant-change-at-key-position\/\" target=\"_self\">benched Will Levis<\/a> in favor of Mason Rudolph. That means there won\u2019t be an interesting quarterback battle between Levis and Indy\u2019s Anthony Richardson, who were both drafted in 2023. Some fans and pundits believed the Colts were going to draft Levis fourth overall, but obviously, they took Richardson instead.<\/p>\n<p data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:340,&quot;h&quot;:165}\">Tennessee has had an awful 2024 campaign. Yet, don\u2019t underestimate this team. Back in Week 12, they stunned C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans with an upset <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/news\/nfl-week-12-recap-tennessee-titans-32-houston-texans-27\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">32-27 road victory.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:340,&quot;h&quot;:165}\">The Colts defeated the Titans in Nashville back in Week 6. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/11\/12\/2025-nfl-mock-draft-has-colts-taking-a-quarterback\/\" target=\"_self\">Joe Flacco<\/a> was Indy\u2019s starting quarterback at the time. Richardson, who now has his starting job back, should lead Indianapolis to a home win at Lucas Oil Stadium.<\/p>\n<h3 data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:340,&quot;h&quot;:165}\">Week 17, Away at New York Giants (2-12)<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Giants will likely select a quarterback like <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/12\/16\/the-tennessee-titans-quarterback-conundrum\/\" target=\"_self\">Shedeur Sanders<\/a> or Cam Ward in the 2025 NFL Draft. But as of right now, the team lacks a franchise signal-caller. And when you don\u2019t have one, it\u2019s really difficult to win games in the National Football League. That\u2019s the main reason the Giants only have two wins this season.<\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis won at MetLife Stadium earlier this year, beating Aaron Rodgers and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_self\">New York Jets<\/a>. Look for them to win again at that venue, knocking off the struggling Giants this time around.<\/p>\n<h3 data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:340,&quot;h&quot;:165}\">Week 18, Home vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-11)<\/h3>\n<p>Trevor Lawrence is <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/news\/trevor-lawrence-injury-update-jaguars-qb-has-surgery-on-left-shoulder-set-to-return-for-offseason-program\/amp\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">out<\/a> for the season after injuring his shoulder. Mac Jones will likely start at quarterback in the Jaguars\u2019s regular-season finale against the Colts.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, facing Jones instead of Lawrence will make things easier for Indy. But as every Colts fan knows, their team always has trouble with Jacksonville.<\/p>\n<p>The Colts lost on the road to the Jags in Week 5 of this season.
