His performance against the Arizona Cardinals was also crucial for the NFC West standings as well. This win for the Seahawks puts them ahead of the Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers by two games. It also puts them up by one game over the Los Angeles Rams. The absence of running back Kenneth Walker led to Zach Charbonnet stepping into the starter role. The Seattle Seahawks were able to cruise to a victory with help from the monster day for running back Zach Charbonnet.

The Monster Day for Running Back Zach Charbonnet

Zach Charbonnet’s Performance

There were two previous times this season when Charbonnet filled in for Walker. This occurred back in Week 2 and Week 3 of the season. In Week 2 against the New England Patriots, he rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown. He also brought in five catches for 31 yards. Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins was an even bigger outing. The Seahawks dominated with a 24-3 win as Charbonnet ran the ball for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Week 14 was his best game yet this season. He was fed the ball 22 times for 134 rushing yards. He also came up big as a receiver too. Charbonnet came away with seven catches for 59 yards. It will be interesting to see if he will hold onto this starting role in week 15 against the Green Bay Packers.

The Health of Kenneth Walker

Kenneth Walker was dealing with an ankle and calf issue leading up to Week 14. His status for the game started to become clear when he did not practice on Thursday and Friday. However, it is being reported that Walker did not suffer any setbacks. This makes his chance to return against the Green Bay Packers a real possibility. This would make the Seahawks offense even more explosive if Walker is able to return. The strong running back pair would complement the Seattle wide receiver group. This is a group that includes DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Walker has had a huge impact during Seattle’s four-game win streak. With the Packers up next, it is too early to tell what the Seahawks will do with Walker.

RB Kenneth Walker III, who was ruled out on Saturday due to ankle and calf injuries, did not suffer a setback this weekend and has a chance to return next Sunday vs. the Packers.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 8, 2024

The Position Going Forward

The Seattle Seahawks now have a strong hold on their division after Sunday. They now control their playoff chances in the NFC. After they face the Green Bay Packers, they wrap up their season against the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. While they continue to chase for the playoffs, they have discovered that an injury at the running back position will not hurt them. Whether it’s Walker or Charbonnet, they can’t go wrong at the position. Both of these running backs have shown that they are ready to put up strong numbers. As the season winds down, Charbonnet could continue to play a crucial role and help the Seattle Seahawk’s chance at a division title.

Main Photo Courtesy of Joe Camporeale – Imagn Images

The monster day for running back Zach Charbonnet helped the Seattle Seahawks cruise to a victory against their division rival.

[54,32
9103,2236,179,9619
post-204016","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-editorials","category-seahawks","tag-kenneth-walker-iii","tag-running-backs","tag-seattle-seahawks","tag-zach-charbonnet
["GET
