Week 12 was very bye-heavy, but every team is slated to play in Week 13. It’s time to see what players will step up come playoff time. However, since Week 7, Jacobs has reached another gear.

He has scored over 20 fantasy points in four of his last five games, including seven touchdowns in that period. Jacobs is the third-leading rusher in the league with 944 yards, and he dominates the backfield touches. The Green Bay Packers have a high-scoring offense, and being the lead running back with elite volume in such a team is always great for fantasy.

Jacobs’ fantasy playoff schedule includes enticing matchups against the Seahawks and Saints before a more challenging game at Minnesota during championship Sunday. Even still, his production makes him a low-end RB1 heading into the playoffs.

Courtland Sutton Is Knocking on the WR1 Door

One of the biggest turnarounds of the season has come from Courtland Sutton. After not scoring more than 15.3 fantasy points in a game for the first seven weeks, Sutton is incredibly the WR2 since Week 8. His rise coincided with Bo Nix’s improvement as the season progressed.

Sutton has eight or more targets in every game since Week 8, and his large frame makes him an end-zone threat. The Broncos play the Browns at home this week before a bye in Week 14. Sutton plays against the Colts and Bengals during the fantasy playoffs, two defenses that have struggled in stretches this season.

He has the volume, touchdown potential, and a quarterback who is on fire. Sutton was drafted as a flex option and may have even ended up on waivers at some point, but those who have stuck with him are reaping the rewards now.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s Breakout Has Arrived

Coming into the season, many expected Jaxon Smith-Njigba to take a step forward. Tyler Lockett is aging, and Smith-Nijiba showed the promise as a rookie that many saw from him at Ohio State. After a colossal 12 reception, 16 target game in Week 2, he looked like one of the season’s breakout stars. Instead, he disappointed, following that game with no games with more than 13.1 fantasy points until Week 9.

But in his last three games, Smith-Njigba has shown the consistency so many wanted to see. He’s had games of 37, 21.8, and 19.7 fantasy points, and he finally looks to have taken over Lockett’s role as the WR2 in Seattle. He’s now the WR8 in total points scored. Ryan Grubb’s pass-heavy offense has pushed Smith-Njigba to new heights.

Smith-Njigba should be heavily targeted in dynasty leagues, as he’s only getting better. His playoff schedule is challenging this season, but he remains a high-end WR2 with upside.

Universal Responsible Gambling Disclaimer: Ages 21+. Gambling problem?
