Unfortunately, thanks to incompetency from the coaching staff, things haven’t gone as planned this season. Sitting at 4-6, the Bears have little hope to reach the playoffs. Now, the focus turns to the development of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. The 2025 NFL Draft offers an opportunity for the Bears to help build around Williams and beef up the trenches. That said, here’s a three-round Bears mock draft.

Chicago Bears Three-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 14: EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

Montez Sweat hasn’t had the season many fans were hoping for. Whether due to injuries or frequent double-teams, he has managed just 3.5 sacks, 17 total tackles, and one forced fumble so far. The Bears clearly need another pass rusher, and Abdul Carter could be a game-changing addition. Carter is an impressive athlete at 6’3″ and 252 pounds, having converted from linebacker to edge rusher this season. He plays with a high motor and knows how to create havoc in the backfield. However, concerns remain about his raw pass-rushing technique and block-shedding ability that Carter must work on. Even so, his tremendous athleticism and upside make him a hard prospect to pass on for the Bears.

2025 NFL Draft Prospect Watch
Penn State, Edge
Abdul Carter
6’3 252lbs
8 sacks 18 TFL (10 games)
91.1 PFF pass rush

▫️Athletic bendy speed rusher
▫️Elite accel off the ball
▫️Dip & rip move to QB is deadly
▫️Still raw at edge but tremendous ceilingpic.twitter.com/TVPyxtBeUu

— Jared Tokarz (@JaredNFLDraft) November 21, 2024

Round 2, Pick 40: OG Jonah Savaiinaea, Arizona

Jonah Savaiinaea is a personal favorite who the Bears need in the offensive line. Currently an offensive tackle for the Arizona Wildcats, he’s expected to transition to guard at the NFL level. At 6’5″ and 330 pounds, Savaiinaea is exceptionally smooth for his size and has impressive agility. His versatility and experience at both tackle and guard make him an extremely valuable prospect that the Bears will surely fall in love with. He’s strong in both pass protection and run blocking, though he occasionally overextends to compensate for his below-average recovery skills. The more Bears fans start to find out about Savaiinaea, the more they’ll begin to fall in love with him. He will likely skyrocket up draft boards; the Bears can only hope to land him in the second round.

Round 2, Pick 46: OG Donovan Jackson, Ohio State

Yes, another offensive guard for the Bears—but Donovan Jackson could be another long-term answer at guard. At 6’4″ and 320 pounds, Jackson entered college as a 5-star recruit and has been a three-year starter at left guard for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He’s a well-rounded player with solid athleticism and excels as a downhill run-blocker. What truly stands out about Jackson, however, is his intelligence and work ethic; he’s a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. The Bears need a smart, reliable player like Jackson to help protect Caleb Williams.

Round 3, Pick 78: DT Dontay Corleone, Cincinnati

Dontay Corleone is another draft crush who would form a dominant duo alongside Gervon Dexter Sr. Nicknamed “The Godfather,” Corleone lives up to the hype as an exceptional talent. At 6’1″ and 320 pounds, he’s a unique athlete with tremendous upside, combining impressive power with surprising quickness. Like Abdul Carter, Corleone plays with a relentless motor, a hallmark of standout players. His versatility allows him to line up anywhere along the defensive front, and under the mentorship of Andrew Billings, he could continue to develop his game. While he’ll need to improve his conditioning and initial explosiveness, Corleone has the potential to make an NFL team very happy next season.

Main Image: Mark J.
