Below are the quarterback rankings, tiers, and analysis to help you navigate your lineup decisions for Week 9.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Quarterback Rankings for Week 9 Fantasy Football<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Tier 1: Superstar Quarterbacks<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1. Jalen Hurts<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Lamar Jackson<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3. Josh Allen<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. In Week 9, Hurts has a favorable matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/jaguars\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jaguars<\/a>, who are in the top five for most fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Given his recent performance and the upcoming matchup, Hurts claims the top spot in the Week 9 quarterback rankings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite coming into Week 8 as questionable, Daniels played and delivered a strong performance, scoring 22.24 fantasy points. He capped the game with a thrilling Hail Mary on the final play to secure the win. Kyler Murray<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nix has been on fire lately, finishing as a top-ten fantasy quarterback in three of the last four weeks. In Week 8, he posted a season-high 29.76 fantasy points, the second-highest of the week. His Week 9 matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/ravens\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Ravens<\/a> is promising, as they recently allowed 334 passing yards to Jameis Winston and rank among the top five for most fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Given his recent form and favorable matchup, Nix moves into the top ten of the Week 9 quarterback rankings and is positioned for another strong performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahomes had his best game of the season, finishing with 18.18 fantasy points. It was not good enough for him to get his first top-ten finish of the year, but it was still his highest fantasy score. However, he has still thrown an interception in every game this year. Mahomes has a great matchup next week against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Buccaneers<\/a>, who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on the year. This is a great opportunity for Mahomes to get his first top-ten finish in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">**Love left the Week 8 game with a groin injury and is questionable for Week 9.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tier 3: Mid-Tier QB2s<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">13. Sam Darnold<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">14. Dak Prescott<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">15. Geno Smith<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">16. Matthew Stafford<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Darnold and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/vikings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Vikings<\/a>\u2019 hot start to the season has slowed down with two straight losses. Darnold has finished outside the top ten of QBs in three straight weeks after being in the top ten for the previous three. However, Week 9 presents a favorable opportunity against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/colts\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Colts<\/a>, who are among the top ten in most fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Darnold has a solid chance to rebound in this matchup and return to form as a fantasy starter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stafford finished as a top-20 quarterback for the first time since Week 1. Having both Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua did wonders for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/rams\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Rams<\/a> offense. He had three touchdowns in the first six games and four in Week 8. Stafford becomes a matchup-dependent option for the rest of the year, starting next week against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/seahawks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Seahawks<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tier 4: Streaming Options<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">17. Derek Carr**<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">18. C.J. Stroud<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">19. Tua Tagovailoa<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20. Kirk Cousins<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">21. Trevor Lawrence<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tagovailoa returned from his concussion with a solid showing, throwing for 234 yards and a touchdown to finish with 14.66 fantasy points. His presence brought a huge improvement to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/dolphins\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Dolphins<\/a> offense, giving a boost to the entire team. Although next week&#8217;s matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Bills<\/a> defense is a challenging one, Tagovailoa\u2019s return brings renewed confidence to Miami\u2019s playmakers.
