Fortunately, no teams have a bye in Week 8, but there are a ton of injuries to monitor. Cooper Kupp is ready to make his return, while Deebo Samuel, Mike Evans, DK Metcalf, Puka Nacua, Jakobi Meyers, Chris Olave, and Jauan Jennings are questionable with injuries. Brandon Aiyuk and Chris Godwin suffered season-ending injuries, while Nico Collins is still on the IR. Below are the wide receiver rankings, tiers, and analysis for Week 8.

Wide Receivers Rankings for Week 8 Fantasy Football

Tier 1: Alpha Wide Receivers

1. Tyreek Hill*

St. Brown continued his fantastic stretch of performances, finishing Week 7 as the overall WR1 with 25.2 fantasy points. He caught all eight of his targets for 112 yards and a touchdown, marking his fourth straight game with a touchdown. St. Brown has been remarkably consistent, finishing as a top-eleven wide receiver in four of the last five weeks. After a slow start to the season, he’s become a reliable WR1 option in fantasy lineups.

*Hill and the entire Dolphins offense has been horrible since quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left the Week 2 game with another concussion. Hill has only finished as a top-50 weekly receiver one time in the last five games. One time! Week 7 was his worst performance, with only one catch for eight yards on two targets. Tagovailoa is expected to return in Week 8, which gives everyone in the Dolphins offense a huge boost. Hill moves back into the alpha wide receiver tier. If Tagovailoa is not able to play, Hill falls back to Tier Four of the wide receiver rankings for Week 8.

Tier 2: Low-End WR1s to High-End WR2s

8. Drake London
9. Cooper Kupp**
10. DK Metcalf**

London is quietly the overall WR3 on the season. After a rough start in Week 1 with just 3.5 fantasy points, he has bounced back with consistent production, scoring at least 12 points in every game since. London has also posted three consecutive top-15 finishes, including two top-eight performances. He gets a great matchup against the Buccaneers, who have been getting torched by opposing offenses. London is a strong top-ten play in Week 8 and should continue his hot streak as he moves into the top-ten of the wide receiver rankings.

Make that FIVE touchdowns for Drake London in his last SIX games 😳pic.twitter.com/w7v5sLSENj

— NFL Fantasy Football (@NFLFantasy) October 20, 2024

Reed struggled in Week 7, only scoring three fantasy points on two catches for 10 yards. Reed plays the Jaguars, who have given up the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers on the year. Reed should have a nice bounce-back game in Week 8.

**There are a ton of injuries in this tier. The good news is that he tied for the team lead in targets with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, showing that Rodgers is trying to get Adams involved. While they couldn’t resurrect their old Green Bay connection in Week 7, the volume of targets Adams received is encouraging. He should continue to be a focal point of the Jets offense and can be relied upon as a solid WR2 for the rest of the season.

Johnson had a disappointing game against a weak Commanders secondary, finishing with 2.7 fantasy points. He has now had bad games in two of the last three weeks. The Panthers offense has been able to do nothing in the last couple of weeks, even with Andy Dalton as quarterback. He has a tough matchup against the Broncos in Week 8, making it hard to trust Johnson this week, but he is still better than the options in the next tier.

*If Tagovailoa does not play, Waddle would drop out of the top 40 in the wide receiver rankings.

Tier 4: WR3s or FLEX plays

26. With a favorable matchup against the Seahawks next week, Cooper is poised to continue performing well and remains a solid starting option in fantasy lineups.

A new quarterback for the Steelers led to Pickens’ best performance of the season.
