Milroe was a four-star, highly coveted recruit from Katy, Texas.

Jalen shockingly recommitted from the University of Texas and committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Milroe served in a key reserve role until becoming a full-time starter in his Junior season. After a rocky start, Milroe finished the season strong, amassing 2,834 yards, 23 TDS, and six interceptions. On the ground, Milroe added 531 yards and 12 touchdowns. So far this season under new Alabama Head Coach Kalen DeBoer, Milroe is on fire and looks much improved. Will that earn him a first-round grade? Will be a top tier running quarterback day one in the NFL. Has explosive speed and agility.

Every down he is dangerous to scramble, extend plays or score.

Great deep ball. Has good arm strength and touch— second best trait.

He has a live, strong NFL arm capable of making all NFL throws. Generates velocity from various platforms and has excellent deep balls.

He is at his best when able to be creative and a playmaker. He loves to make plays when plays break down, keeping his eyes downfield. He also has the arm strength to make throws on the run.

He has not missed a start due to injury and has displayed consistent mental and physical toughness. He loves to embrace contact and has multiple comeback victories—the legendary Iron Bowl shows that.

The team loves him. There was an obvious difference in the team when he played versus when he got benched. He went from benching to leading the team to SEC Champion and a playoff berth.

Has experience in a pro-style offense.

He has shown significant improvement in his pocket presence, throwing over the middle of the field, and throwing with anticipation. This growth is a testament to his dedication and should inspire optimism about his future performance.

Milroe’s Weaknesses

Mechanics can get loose and out of sorts, leading to lousy accuracy and ball placement issues.

There’s an urgent need for improvement in field vision. The player is currently average at best in this area and needs to work on going through progressions more effectively.

He tends to hold on to the ball too long, fighting to keep plays alive and extending gains, which leads to turnovers and fumbles.

Footwork is below average in the pocket. It causes him to be late on throws or miss timing with receivers.

Anticipation is average. Below average in the intermediate passing game.

He is very inconsistent, and that is his weakest trait.

Play style can lead to injuries in the NFL.

Projection: First Round Pick

Best Fits: Carolina Panthers and New York Giants

Bottom Line

Jalen Milroe has enticing Superstar potential. Due to his size, good arm strength, and dynamic athleticism, Milroe has a chance to be a Quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, his deficiency in the intermediate passing game and fumbles could keep Milroe from reaching his ceiling. I believe it will be too hard to ignore his potential, and Milroe will go first round.

Watch – 2025 Skill Position Prospect Rankings

Main Photo Credit: Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

[1647,30,32631,20
32605,32826,7661,27083
post-190808","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-panthers","category-dynasty","category-giants","tag-2025-nfl-draft","tag-jalen-milroe","tag-panthers-featured","tag-scouting-report
["GET
