Although McCarthy played well against the Raiders, he still has lots to improve on. The knee is home to some of the most important ligaments in your leg, including the ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Injruying any one of these ligaments can put an athlete out for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday morning, Ian Rapoport confirmed that McCarthy has a meniscus issue.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As with most meniscus surgeries, there will be a determination made during the procedure to either trim or repair. The trim would mean out a few weeks. If they choose to do rehab, the recovery time is 4-6 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>As far as surgery is concerned, McCsarhy can have done two different types of surgeries. The first is called a meniscectomy or meniscus removal, which takes 4-6 weeks to recover from. The only downside to this is it can lead to more injuries.
