The team&#8217;s preseason practices will take place at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York.<\/p>\n<p>Pittsford, a suburb of Rochester, is about an 80-minute drive from Buffalo. It&#8217;ll be the 23rd year St. John Fisher has hosted the Bills for camp. It&#8217;s a partnership that began in 2000 and has continued aside from a two-year hiatus during the COVID years.<\/p>\n<p>The Bills are facing their most important training camp in recent memory. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/06\/01\/2024-buffalo-bills-53-man-roster-projection-june-otas-minicamp\/\" target=\"_self\">Personnel changes<\/a> on both sides of the ball created questions about whether they&#8217;re still a Super Bowl contender. It also allowed No. 2 wideout <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/03\/11\/report-gabriel-davis-signs-contract-with-jacksonville-jaguars\/\" target=\"_self\">Gabe Davis<\/a> to leave in free agency, and he eventually signed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/jaguars\/\" target=\"_self\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>. That leaves 241 targets up for grabs in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/06\/01\/khalil-shakir-drops-clues-2024-buffalo-bills-offense\/\" target=\"_self\">Khalil Shakir<\/a>, Curtis Samuel, and rookie <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/01\/01\/2024-nfl-draft-scouting-report-keon-coleman\/\" target=\"_self\">Keon Coleman<\/a> will likely start, but it&#8217;s a crowded competition. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/06\/11\/must-watch-players-2024-buffalo-bills-mandatory-minicamp\/\" target=\"_self\">Chase Claypool<\/a>, Mack Hollins, Andy Isabella, KJ Hamler, and Justin Shorter are also fighting for a chance to catch passes from Allen this Fall.<\/p>\n<p>Along the offensive front, the trio of left tackle Dion Dawkins, right guard O&#8217;Cyrus Torrence, and right tackle Spencer Brown are probably locked in. Guard David Edwards and rookie center <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/01\/08\/2024-nfl-draft-sedrick-van-pran-scouting-report\/\" target=\"_self\">Sedrick Van Pran-Granger<\/a> figure to battle for one spot, with the versatile Connor McGovern playing whichever role isn&#8217;t filled.<\/p>\n<p>Rasul Douglas, Christian Benford, and slot Taron Johnson are a high-end cornerback trio. Ample questions remain behind them at corner, though. The recent emergence of 2022 first-round pick <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/06\/13\/kaiir-elam-bust-buffalo-bills\/\" target=\"_self\">Kaiir Elam<\/a> has been a welcome sight ahead of training camp.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the battle to replace the elite safety duo of <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/04\/18\/hyde-hinting-retirement-amid-rumors\/\" target=\"_self\">Micah Hyde<\/a> (contemplating retirement) and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/03\/12\/jordan-poyer-signs-contract-miami-dolphins\/\" target=\"_self\">Jordan Poyer<\/a> (signed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/dolphins\/\" target=\"_self\">Miami Dolphins<\/a>) will be critical.
