Most of these guys will be playing late into the third and final preseason game with no\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">other purpose than<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to get through without any injuries, but you never know if any of these overlooked prospects can turn into an Ivan Pace Jr. The Vikings rostered three undrafted free agents in 2023- Pace Jr., Andre Carter, and Najee Thompson. All of them\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ended up playing<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0meaningful snaps during the regular season, especially the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">aforementioned Ivan<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Pace Jr. With that being said, here is the 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/vikings\/\" target=\"_self\">Vikings<\/a> UDFA class.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Who Are The Vikings Undrafted Free Agents?<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Matt Cindric IOL California<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cindric started all but one game he played in, tallying 34 starts over his five seasons with the Golden Bears. Half of his starts came at center\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the other half came at right guard. At Cal\u2019s pro day, he tested well in the 40-yard dash and the broad jump. His guard\/center flexibility makes him an intriguing option as an interior backup.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Matthew Cindric is a OC prospect in the 2024 draft class. (Osborn) from Miami leaves, another\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">one<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0replaces him. Cloyd played his final season in Miami after playing three seasons at Louisville. He played in all games for the Hurricanes, starting in half of them. At Miami\u2019s pro day, he ran an average 40-yard dash but had an elite 10-yard and 20-yard split. Starting at Ohio State and transferring to his hometown\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Toledo<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">after<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0four years, Gant earned First Team All-MAC honors both years at Toledo, leading the Rockets in tackles both years.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At Toledo\u2019s pro day, he tested well in the 40-yard dash<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, along with the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0vertical and broad jumps, but poorly in the agility drills.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dallas Gant is a LB prospect in the 2024 draft class. Harper broke six school records his Junior year at Mercer, which earned him a unanimous First Team All-SoCon selection. He has punt and kick return versatility, returning one of each for a touchdown in 2022. His senior year didn\u2019t have as much production as the year before, but his return-specialist background gives him a chance to crack this roster. Besides a\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">great<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a020-yard split, he tested average to poorly at every other drill. Harper will compete with kick-returner Kene Nwangwu and punt returner Brandon Powell. If Powell wins the wide receiver three job, that punt returner job could be wide open.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ty James WR Mercer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Double-dipping at receivers from Mercer, the Vikings are getting a two-time finalist for the Walter Payton Award, which\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is given<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to the best offensive player in Division I FCS. During his four-year collegiate career, all of which came at Mercer, he racked up over 3,000 receiving yards. At Mercer\u2019s pro day, James tested above average at everything except the 3-cone drill.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Opposed to<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0his Mercer teammate, James\u2019 best bet at making this roster is at receiver, and anything extra he could give on special teams is the cherry on top.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jeshaun\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jones<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0WR Maryland<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jones spent his six-year collegiate career entirely with the Terrapins, playing in five of them. He had almost 800 receiving yards his senior <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">year,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and sparingly returning punts. Jones\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was invited<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to the Hula Bowl in the pre-draft process. At Maryland\u2019s pro day, Jones tested above average in every drill except the vertical jump. He\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">very<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0solid<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0athlete who has every chance to sneak onto the roster.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Jeshaun Jones is a WR prospect in the 2024 draft class. Knox has the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">longest<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0arms of any tight end\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that measured<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0at the combine and\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was invited<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to the Hula Bowl. Knox is an undersized tight end who didn\u2019t test great in the agility drills but did well in the jumps. Manoa tested well in the vertical and broad jumps but did poorly\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in everything else<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He\u2019s not the most intriguing of this batch of undrafted players, but with the interior-defensive line being one of the weakest spots on the team<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, Manoa has a shot to make this roster<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Donovan\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Manuel<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0LB Florida International<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before transferring to\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">FIU<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Manuel spent four years at East Tennessee,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">where he earned<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0All-SoCon First Team honors his sophomore year. Manuel broke FIU\u2019s single-season forced fumbles record with five. Manuel recorded 121 tackles in his senior season, which ranked 13th in the nation. While undersized at linebacker, Manuel tested well\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in good<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to elite in everything except the 40-yard dash. A concussion held him out of three games his senior season, but\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">still<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0led the team in interceptions and passes defended. While having great height for the position and an above-average 40-yard dash, his vertical and broad jumps were both well below average. Starting all 26 games over two seasons at\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UCLA,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and playing three seasons at North Texas before transferring, Murphy\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">both<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0rushed the passer and dropped back into coverage. His senior season was the most productive, where he tallied 16 tackles for loss\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">along with<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a08\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">sacks. Nester was an All-Big 12 honorable mention his senior year and\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was invited<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to both the Hula Bowl and Shrine Bowl. He had similar production tackle production his senior year but only had five sacks. At Marshall\u2019s pro day, he repped 30 times on the bench press, which would\u2019ve easily been first had he been invited to the combine. On North Carolina\u2019s pro day, Rolland tested poorly in the shuttle drill but was above average <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in everything else<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
