Kansas City is doing its due diligence ahead of the Draft while having several passing needs to address. However, insurance for the future wouldn’t hurt a team that has been winning these past two seasons.

Anything or any injury could happen so the Chiefs are adding depth just in case. The fact that the Chiefs are doing a lot of work for this year’s tight ends draft class shows that Kelce isn’t going to be around for long. At least the Chiefs are finding ways to spell Kelce as a young and cost-effective backup to assist him this season. The good news is that this could probably help extend his career after he has no plans to retire anytime soon.

Sinnott is predicted to be a day-two pick, who is largely considered as the second-best prospect following his showing at the NFL Combine. He ran the 40 in 4.68, with a 40-inch vertical, and 126-inch broad jump. Sinnott finished the shuttles in 4.23 and the three-cone in 6.82. His burst score, 97.4%, was the best among other tight ends in this year’s class.

Versatility is a major draw with him, according to a scouting report. He’s one of those prospects that has good acceleration and burst. Sinnott could cover a lot of ground with a few steps. Head Coach Andy Reid shouldn’t have a hard time finding his skillset with other tight ends, Irv Smith Jr, and Noah Gray, under center.

Embraced it well @ben_sinnott #KStateFB ⚒️ #NFLCombine

📺 #NFLCombine on @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/FNdUNCCQAJ

— K-State Football (@KStateFB) March 2, 2024

AFC Contender Kansas City Chiefs May Sign Exploding Hybrid Weapon Prospect, Ben Sinnott

How He Could Be Unique for the Offense

Sinnott started his collegiate career as a fullback before transitioning to the tight-end position. It’s no secret that he may be a bit undersized but his biggest draw is his athleticism which makes up for it. The two-time, First-Team All-Big 12 selected notched 82 catches for 1,138 yards and 10 touchdowns in 38 games. According to Pro Football Focus, they gave him an overall 82.0 grade for his 2023 campaign, with a run-block grade of 76.1.

Sinnott isn’t only effective in making plays but as a run-blocker, he could help Patrick Mahomes continue to make plays. He isn’t the best pass-blocking tight end but it’s enough depth for the defending champs to shine their offense through. Sinnot isn’t going to have the top speed as a tight-end but it’s enough juice to stretch the field and be a respectable threat. This is probably the best option for the Chiefs at tight end since there isn’t a chance at Georgia prospect Brock Bowers in the first round.

Sinnott isn’t the perfect prospect but it’s enough for the Chiefs to raise the ceiling to start thinking about their future. He still has above-average hands and shows good ability in contested catch situations.

Other Possible Team Fits

If the Chiefs somehow don’t achieve their dream of keeping the Kansas State prospect home, other teams may match well. The Los Angeles Chargers could use another target to add to their offense after losing two receivers to free agency. Justin Herbert is going to need some cushion on the pass-blocking aspect of the team. Despite the extra weight, he could continue to be an excellent route runner, especially near the goal line.

Sinnott could be a great addition next to Juwan Johnson in New Orleans after a struggling 2023 season campaign. He can open up the field for someone like Derek Carr. However, adding another solid weapon for Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Here is how AFC Contender and former Super Bowl champions may sign exploding hybrid weapon prospect, Ben Sinnott.

[1647,30,16,18,28
32324,10068,9487,7642,7811,5579,7661,1576,7659
post-169679","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-panthers","category-chiefs","category-chargers","category-saints","tag-ben-sinnott","tag-brock-bowers","tag-bryce-young","tag-chargers-featured","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-justin-herbert","tag-panthers-featured","tag-patrick-mahomes","tag-saints-featured
["GET
