Brady told the world in 2023 that he was done playing football \u201cfor good\u201d in his own words before retirement. However, that\u2019s all changing, revealing that he\u2019s open for another comeback. Brady appeared<\/a> on \u201cDeepCuts with VicBlends\u201d mentioning that he would be ready to \u201cpick up the phone\u201d if a team offered him to return to the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not opposed to it,\u201d Brady said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if they\u2019re gonna let me if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don\u2019t know. I\u2019m always in good shape, I\u2019ll always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. coming back? I don\u2019t know if they\u2019d let me but I wouldn\u2019t be opposed to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

His pending NFL ownership is key, but he\u2019s yet to be approved as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the league could issue a rule that allows Brady to continue playing while being an owner of a team. Brady last appeared for the Tampa Bay Buccanneers in 2022 in his third and final season with the organization, following his 20-year run with the Patriots. He\u2019s technically a free agent after his contract with the Buccaneers, which means he\u2019s free to sign wherever in 2024.<\/p>\n

Brady\u2019s comments speculate<\/a> that he could make a return for any team that has an injured quarterback. This would shock the league if he were to do this being that he\u2019s returning to the workforce this fall as a broadcaster for Fox Sports. This would be interesting to see if his work at Fox Sports would stop him from making his return. However, one week you could see Brady fulfilling his duties and the next could be lacing up his cleats ready to take on the field. What\u2019s interesting is that the Raiders and Patriots are without quality starters at quarterback but that could change after this year\u2019s NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Also, it\u2019s worth noting that the 49ers already lost two Super Bowl matches with Brock Purdy under the gun. The implication is that Purdy isn\u2019t arguably a star compared to what Brady has done in the league. However, Brady did it with a new team after completing 67% of his passes for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2022. Brady joining any team could be the best-case scenario.<\/p>\n

However, there could be other teams that can be possible fits for him. The Broncos, Seahawks and Vikings are other likely destinations that Brady could also consider. It isn\u2019t about ring-chasing anymore at this point of his career, He has enough of those.<\/p>\n
