The NFL Draft is coming at the end of the month and there will likely not be any moves made until after. Most teams are focused on bringing young talent to their team before committing to a veteran.

Fowler did mention that Boyd will also likely after the draft to sign with a team that needs a receiver. The Pittsburgh product was selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft after finishing out his contract. The Bengals originally signed Boyd in 2019 on a four-year, $43 million extension, and now will land elsewhere with a new team. In 2023, Boyd appeared in all 17 games for the Bengals and caught 67 passes for 667 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The receiver market is slimming down since most teams have already signed most wideouts before the draft. However, there are still some low-cost veterans out there that teams may target after the draft. Names like Michael Gallup, Odell Beckham Jr, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are all still available to sign a contract. Boyd was never a star by any means in the league with the Bengals but he was consistent through his tenure in Cincinnati.

However, he was able to put a solid campaign on his rookie contract, he has found himself being one of the more reliable receivers. He went over 1,000 yards in the third and fourth seasons in the league. His numbers have been dipping but he was still a contributor. Here are three possible landing spots for Boyd.

Three Possible Landing Spots for $43 Million Pro Bowler Tyler Boyd

Pittsburgh Steelers

According to a report, an insider revealed that the Steelers made a lowball offer for Boyd this free agency. This is all speculation and they may agree if Boyd isn’t able to find any other destination. It seems unlikely that this will be the last time he will receive this offer. Most teams aren’t probably overpaying receivers this offseason due to not many wideouts being available this time around.

This could be the reason why the Texans took a gamble to get Stefon Diggs in a trade from the Buffalo Bills. Don’t expect this to be the last wideout trade, there could be more coming during the draft. The Steelers have also looked at Michael Gallup as a potential receiver if they want to go cheaper. Whoever it is will likely need to suit up to be the replacement for Diontae Johnson after the Steelers traded him to the Panthers.

Los Angeles Chargers

If any team needs a wideout before the season, it’s the Chargers. The team has been forced to let go of most of their star receivers this offseason. The Chargers let go of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen but they were able to bring back their two defensive stars, Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. However, Justin Herbert would need some reliable targets to get the team back in the postseason.

They’re unable to sign a wideout to a long-term contract but could grab one on a one-year deal. The Chargers could look to the draft to get some wideouts but they all probably won’t be ready coming this fall. So the best solution would be bringing in a low-cost veteran and Boyd can be that answer.

Kansas City Chiefs

It’s been a rollercoaster season for the Chiefs are winning their second Super Bowl in a row. The team had to make some room to trade and release some of their stars. However, the wideout position is probably the most important, especially for Patrick Mahomes. There wasn’t any reliability in their wide receiving corps so this may be why they released Valdes-Scantling.

The ongoing Rashee Rice investigation clearly shows that they need a starting receiver. Boyd could fill that hole quickly.

Here are three possible landing spots for $43 million Pro Bowler and former Cincinnati Bengals, Tyler Boyd this offseason.

[36,7,16,18,9
7642,7811,4407,1670,514,9716,586
post-168924","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-bengals","category-chiefs","category-chargers","category-steelers","tag-chargers-featured","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-marquez-valdes-scantling","tag-mike-williams","tag-odell-beckham-jr","tag-rashee-rice","tag-tyler-boyd
["GET
