The four-time Pro Bowler is no stranger to social media drama, but his latest Tweet might take the cake. The wide receiver has wanted a trade for the better part of two years, and this could be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Update (11:04 AM, EST) – The Buffalo Bills have traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a 2025 second-round pick.

Diggs’ frustration with Buffalo can be traced back to the 2022 season. Following their season-ending loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional Round, Stefon Diggs skipped mandatory minicamp and sent out multiple vague Twitter posts. While he returned to the team for 2023, he saw his usage drop as the team suffered another early playoff exit.

With tensions at an all-time high, Stefon Diggs is now using Twitter to talk smack about his quarterback. In a recent post, the one-time All-Pro questioned whether or not superstar quarterback Josh Allen would be any good without him.

Here we go again pic.twitter.com/JokrmTEcCu

— LastWordOnNFL (@LastWordOnNFL) April 3, 2024

Stefon Diggs Blasts Josh Allen on Twitter

The answer to Diggs’ question, of course, is a resounding ‘yes.’ Stefon Diggs helped Allen adjust to life in the NFL, but implying on Twitter that the quarterback is a product of the wideout is just absurd. Allen is a top-three quarterback in the league, and the fact that he played at an MVP level as Diggs faded away last year is a testament to his remarkable talent. Almost any other quarterback would’ve struggled to win five games with the 2023 Buffalo Bills roster, and he had them going blow-for-blow with the eventual Super Bowl champions.

Stefon Diggs has wanted out of Buffalo for quite some time, and this Twitter post might be the catalyst for a trade. Buffalo can save $19 million in cap space if they trade him after June 1st, and his decreased role in Joe Brady’s offense could mean he’s not worth the headache.

Despite the Twitter drama, other teams across the NFL should be willing to put up with Stefon Diggs. While the wideout probably wants to play for a contender, a rebuilding team could trade to acquire him as a way to develop a younger quarterback.

Possible Trade Destinations

Dallas Cowboys

The Bills would probably prefer to trade Diggs to an NFC team, and the Cowboys are the perfect fit for the wide receiver. Mike McCarthy needs to make a deep playoff run if he wants to keep his job, and Dallas has not done much to improve the roster in free agency. Pairing Stefon Diggs with CeeDee Lamb would give the Cowboys all the firepower they need for a deep playoff run, and the Twitter posts will be amazing if this team still goes one-and-done in the playoffs.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints refuse to rebuild, so they’ll probably kick the tires on Diggs. Chris Olave is a star in the making, and Rashid Shaheed is a good deep threat, but this team needs another weapon to make up for their terrible offensive line and mediocre quarterback in Derek Carr. Stefon Diggs might not want to play for a league-average team like the Saints, but the Twitter star has no right to complain about any potential trade destination.

Carolina Panthers

Based on his Twitter post, Stefon Diggs believes that he’s the reason Josh Allen is any good. Now, it’s time to put that theory to the test. Statistically speaking, Bryce Young had an atrocious rookie season, but it’s hard to blame him when he had nothing to work with. The team already reinforced the offensive line and added wide receiver Diontae Johnson, but Diggs could be a true difference-maker for the Alabama product.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers don’t have a single player capable of consistently getting open. After parting ways with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, Justin Herbert will somehow have to get by throwing the ball to first-round bust Quentin Johnston and career journeyman Jordan Palmer. Stefon Diggs would be a clear upgrade on both players and could help guide this team to the postseason in the first year of the Jim Harbaugh Era.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are last on this list not because they don’t need a wide receiver, but simply because it’s hard to see them ever trading Diggs to their biggest conference rival. However, the fit here is too good to ignore. With Rashee Rice’s future in question, this team once again needs to give Patrick Mahomes another weapon. Stefon Diggs might create some headaches on Twitter, but Andy Reid has dealt with bigger headaches in the past.

Main Photo: Nathan Ray Seebeck – USA Today Sports

While most of his Twitter activity involves vague trade rumors, Stefon Diggs recently called out his quarterback on social media.

[36,3,30,19,16,18,28
7642,7811,2599,7661,7659,60
post-168433","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-bills","category-panthers","category-cowboys","category-chiefs","category-chargers","category-saints","tag-chargers-featured","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-josh-allen","tag-panthers-featured","tag-saints-featured","tag-stefon-diggs
["GET
