While he’s not in the same tier as guys like Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, or even Marquise Brown, the former fourth-round pick has established himself as a reliable weapon in the passing game. Since entering the league in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Central Florida product has hauled in 163 receptions for 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns on 299 targets.

The Bills could use a player like Gabriel Davis, but a recent post from the receiver himself suggests that he will leave in free agency. Taking to social media, Davis posted an eight-minute goodbye to the City of Buffalo and closed it up with stats showing what he accomplished as a professional football player.

🫶🏾🦬

Shoutout to @Josh_Pohlman videographer and @Cover1 best stats in the game pic.twitter.com/B4x4LmbgMQ

— Gabe Davis (@gabedavis13_) February 20, 2024

Gabriel Davis Posts Goodbye to Bills, Heading For Free Agency

While free agency doesn’t officially kick off for another few weeks, it’s safe to assume Gabriel Davis will not be back in Buffalo. Davis’s video, while appreciative of the city, isn’t the type of video you release if you plan on re-signing with the team.

The Buffalo Bills are currently in salary cap hell and need to clear approximately $54.2 million to become cap-compliant. Chances are, the team explained that they don’t have the financial resources to re-sign Gabriel Davis, allowing him to focus on free agency.

Gabriel Davis is not the type of player who can lead a passing attack, but complementary role players can still earn decent money in free agency. He should have plenty of demand, and these five teams are the most likely landing spots.

Best Team Fits

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have two excellent reasons to target Gabriel Davis in free agency. For one, the wideout is exactly what this team needs. Rashee Rice had a great rookie season, and Travis Kelce still has something in his tank, but Kansas City needs a reliable red zone threat on the outside. Additionally, the Chiefs are going for a three-peat, and by signing Davis, they’ll also make the Buffalo Bills a little bit weaker.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys already have their superstar wide receiver in CeeDee Lamb. Now, they need to find a complementary starter. Brandin Cooks is slowing down, and Michael Gallup is one of the worst re-signings in recent memory. Gabriel Davis isn’t going to be a superstar in Dallas, but he could be a wise investment in free agency for a team that desperately needs to make a deep playoff run in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens

Much like the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ravens have a good second-year receiver in Zay Flowers and one of the NFL’s best pass-catching tight ends in Mark Andrews. However, they could use some help beyond those two playmakers. This team needs somebody who can win with size on the outside and in the red zone, which is why Gabriel Davis is the perfect signing in free agency. Adding Davis should make this already unstoppable offense all the more dangerous.

Arizona Cardinals

Despite finishing with the fourth-worst record in football, the Arizona Cardinals are not far away from a Wild Card appearance. The team hovered around .500 with Kyler Murray in the lineup, and this young roster should be even better in 2024. Arizona never truly found a replacement for DeAndre Hopkins, and Gabriel Davis could fill that role in free agency. Obviously, Davis is nowhere near as good as Hopkins, but they possess the same larger frames and overall play style.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers need to sign more players in free agency than just Gabriel Davis if they want Bryce Young to succeed. However, Davis is a good building block who could provide a much-needed target in contested situations. Carolina struggled to find the endzone last year, and Davis has yet to score fewer than six touchdowns in any given season. Granted, having Josh Allen as your quarterback helps, but the fact remains that Davis is an above-average red zone threat.

Main Photo: Gregory Fisher – USA Today Sports

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis tweeted a thank you video to Bills Mafia, heavily implying he will join a new team in free agency.

[3,33,10,30,19,16
7811,6455,7661,7638
post-163036","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bills","category-cardinals","category-ravens","category-panthers","category-cowboys","category-chiefs","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-gabriel-davis","tag-panthers-featured","tag-ravens-featured
["GET
