Sharing a backfield with Clyde Edwards-Heliare and Jerick McKinnon will do that.<\/p>\n<p>But the second-year back out of Rutgers, Pacheco, knows his role in the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/12\/27\/simms-chiefs-offense-alert-mahomes-kelce\/\" target=\"_self\">Chiefs\u2019 offense<\/a> is key.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know how big I\u2019m going to be as a part of this offense moving forward,\u201d Pacheco said after the Chiefs\u2019 Week 17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, per NFL Network\u2019s James Palmer on \u201cThe Insiders\u201d on January 2. \u201cI know running the football has to be something that we&#8217;re going to do moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pacheco told Palmer during his walk-off interview, &#8220;You got leaders telling me, &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JamesPalmerTV\/status\/1741650013145501758\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">We go as you go<\/a>.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Isiah Pacheco Asserts Role in Chiefs&#8217; Offense<\/h2>\n<h3>Chiefs&#8217; &#8216;Want to Run the Football&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Pacheco had 130 yards on 18 carries versus the Bengals, adding another 35 yards and a score through the air.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at \u2026 how often they run two tight ends out there to help out their tackles. But I believe they should morph into a power-running football team, and they have all the pieces to do it \u2026 including Pacheco.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baldinger pointed to the Chiefs\u2019 offensive line, noting how they got significant movement against the Bengals\u2019 front.<\/p>\n<p>But he also drove home the point of running the offense through Pacheco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou gotta find a way to get the ball in his hand because of how dynamic and explosive he is,\u201d Baldinger said. This is a dangerous player.
