If you think something stinks, you\u2019re right. It\u2019s the Monday Night Football matchup between the Chargers and the Jets. But that’s where the DraftKings DFS slate comes to the rescue. If Aaron Rodgers had been fit, he would have dissected this Chargers defense with ease, but he\u2019s not fit, and Zach Wilson isn\u2019t exactly the dissecting type. Wilson seems to have gained confidence in his running ability recently though. If he can just make a quick decision and take off, he\u2019ll be fine. But last week his decision-making can only be described as \u201cglacial\u201d in pace, and he was sacked four times for 47 yards! Leonard Williams played so well for the Giants that they actually let him go and play for a competent team in Seattle the very next day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DraftKings DFS Monday Night Bargains for Week 9<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Quentin Johnson<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The exciting Chargers rookie does have a tough task up against the best pass defense in the league. But he\u2019s 6 feet 4 inches tall and he\u2019s averaging 9.5 yards per catch so far this season. But more importantly than that he doesn\u2019t feature on the injury report. Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, and Josh Palmer all do. A wise person once said, \u201cThe best ability is availability\u201d, so Johnson has a step on the majority of the Chargers’ receiving corps.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week Johnson scored 10 points in the DraftKings DFS game. He figures to lineup opposite Sauce Gardner who is an inch shorter than Johnson. And whilst he\u2019s still really, really good he\u2019s not having the season he did in 2022. Gardner is allowing 76.9% of passes thrown his way to be completed, last season it was just 53.5%! Gardner has allowed 98 yards after the catch so far this season, if Johnson gets the chance to run after the catch he\u2019ll be gone.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Good Lord He’s Tall” Pick – Simi Fehoko<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Another 6\u201d4 Chargers receiver who isn\u2019t injured, Fehoko is technically Josh Palmer\u2019s backup. But Palmer only managed three catches last week. Palmer re-injured the same knee he damaged against the Chiefs in Week 7; he was listed as \u201cquestionable\u201d last week so even if he plays this week, it\u2019s unlikely he\u2019s able to go full speed ahead.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fehoko should match up with D.J. Reed and if Gardner isn\u2019t giving up much height to Johnson Reed is at a distinct disadvantage. He\u2019s a full seven inches shorter than Fehoko! Reed is allowing 76.2% of the passes thrown his way to end in completions. And he\u2019s allowing 10.2 yards per completion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “It Must Be His Time To Shine” DraftKings DFS Pick – Donald Parham<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Another Chargers<\/a> game, another hope that their incredibly gifted tight end can stay healthy. And hoping Justin Herbert can find him in the endzone. And that\u2019s the thing, Herbert has all the physical attributes you could ever want from a quarterback, but this season the coaching team seems to have scrambled his brain.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parham is six feet 8 inches tall, so nobody can defend him without essentially climbing all over him and giving away a penalty. He\u2019s pretty much always open, if the Chargers can get into the red zone he\u2019ll be a threat. Only four tight ends have seen more red zone targets than Parham this season. The Jets are 8<\/span>th<\/span> on the list when it comes to allowing tight ends to score points in DraftKings DFS games. On average tight ends score 13.8 points per game against them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Why Isn’t He Better?” DraftKings DFS Pick – Allen Lazard<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Well, it remains to be seen if he\u2019s any good, but he\u2019s going to be cheap. And he is the Jets’ best receiver not named \u201cGarrett Wilson\u201d. Since Mecole Hardman isn\u2019t NYC anymore and two of the remaining four receivers are injured there\u2019s a solid chance Lazard gets some action. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u2019s been doing a really good job of getting open when Zach Wilson scrambles<\/a> (it\u2019s almost like he\u2019s used to playing with Aaron Rodgers or something). And he\u2019s been doing an even better job of making highlight reel catches. But he\u2019s only managed to haul in 17 receptions in the Jets clunky offense,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Ooh He Just Might” DraftKings DFS pick – CJ Uzomah<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Well, he\u2019ll definitely be cheap. But that\u2019s because he\u2019s only caught five passes in the first eight weeks of the season. But the guy weighs 271 lbs, if he does get the ball in his hands it\u2019s going to take three guys to wrestle him to the floor. Someone might wanna tell the Jets coaches that.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Only three teams are allowing more DraftKings DFS points to tight ends than the Chargers too. That\u2019s definitely a weakness the Jets should exploit.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
