The Dallas Cowboys are expected to make a trade or two before the deadline, coming off their bye week. However, the team <a href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/10094642-jerry-jones-cowboys-in-nfcs-upper-echelon-not-planning-big-trade-deadline-talks\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">won\u2019t<\/a> be making any enormous moves as Jerry Jones is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallascowboys.com\/news\/jones-gives-cowboys-trade-outlook-before-deadline\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">satisfied<\/a> with the outlook of Dallas. So don\u2019t hold your breath for too long waiting for something big to happen, as it likely won\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the thing, Jerry won\u2019t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/38734036\/cowboys-jerry-jones-willing-trade-initiate-talks\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> initiate<\/a> the talks, but a couple of teams could reach out due to their star\u2019s interest in a future contender. Jones is acting very mysteriously knowing the big hike he made earlier this season when snagging Trey Lance. In 2018, he decided to trade for Amari Cooper to fill their needs. Anything can happen in the league and they could look at bringing the Pro Bowl running back to the star.<\/p>\n<p>Jones explained more on why he won\u2019t initiate trade talks to improve the roster, \u201cThe initiation of an opportunity to make a trade at this time that would help us principally has to start over on the other end. I like where we are with our personnel today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dallas is still in a dry slump of moving past the divisional round of the playoffs. There\u2019s no doubt he can provide the Cowboys offense with the spark they need in the red zone. The Cowboys have had trouble finishing drives, and Henry is the guy to solve that. He\u2019s like a hard-hitting wall where defenses are scared when it\u2019s supposed to be the other way around.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone remembers when Henry ran all over the Ravens&#8217; defense and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7Y0UzeBROkA\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stiff-armed <\/a>Earl Thomas in 2019. Dallas wouldn\u2019t want to miss out on a chance to play their cards to get him. He\u2019s still a powerhouse and has a lot left in the tank. Let it be known that he also has speed and can pop off all the way to the end zone.<\/p>\n<p>Henry is one of the players where if Micah Parsons was playing on offense, he would still do damage. Imagine a tank that\u2019s coming at you fast, that\u2019s what the Cowboys would be getting. In 2020, Henry put up 17 touchdowns for 2,027 yards and replicated the same success in 2022. There\u2019s a reason why he\u2019s a Pro Bowler, so Dallas needs to act fast before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n<h3>Explosiveness Is Incoming for Tony Pollard<\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s get one thing straight, the Dallas Cowboys are missing <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/08\/15\/rhamondre-stevenson-ezekiel-elliott-fantasy-football-outlook\/\" target=\"_self\">Ezekiel Elliott<\/a>. He may have slowed down with his speed but he was able to gain those extra yards and scramble on those 3rd and one possessions. With Derrick Henry in town, he could take over that short-yardage work. Pollard has received most of the workload, but he\u2019s been average at best.<\/p>\n<p>Henry\u2019s explosiveness can provide a serious boost to this team\u2019s capabilities. Not only that, but it can give Pollard a new fresh set of legs to reduce his workload. Pollard is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/news\/derrick-henry-trade-rumors-cowboys-bills-ravens\/e5d7e2f1353eef6b7178633b\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">averaging<\/a> 3.9 yards per carry and has only one game over 100 rushing yards. However, Jerry Jones won\u2019t initiate the trades this year, but he has that wand to change his mind at any given moment.<\/p>\n<h3>The Package Deal<\/h3>\n<p>Like many Dallas Cowboys are anticipating for the team to be contenders this year, this is their chance to prove that before the trade deadline. If the team isn\u2019t aggressive now, then they may expect the same result in the playoffs. See, the Cowboys have the talent, but they don\u2019t have enough veterans to complement or guide them.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s always a scene of rebuilding the team every year and fans wouldn\u2019t want to sit around for that. The time is now, and here\u2019s the right care package deal for it. The Dallas Cowboys should send a fifth-round pick along with wide receiver KaVontae Turpin. It sounds like a dream scenario, but the Titans would be willing to look into it. So, all Jerry needs to do is put his pride aside, pick up the phone, and make that shocking offer that will keep the league talking for weeks.
