The official cut-off to trade players within the league is on Halloween or October, 31st. A change of scenery can be a good thing for some players and crippling for others. It could be a system or schematic thing or simply just not being utilized correctly. Not only will this affect the overall player if he changes uniforms, but it could also ripple down to their new teammates. Get a week’s start and try to move these players beforehand. These are some players to buy or trade before week 8 that are currently swirling around in trade rumors.

[cta id=445 type=cta]

Fantasy Football Week 8 Buy and Sell Targets

Players to Buy

Bijan Robinson (RB: Atlanta Falcons)

One touch for 3 yards is simply not good. Allegedly, Robinson wasn’t “feeling good” and that played a part in his overall snap and touch distribution. Sometimes fantasy managers make rash decisions after a bad week. Robinson’s value is never going to be lower than it is right now in redraft leagues. Make your move now and go buy him if you can. He’ll be just fine moving forward.

DeAndre Hopkins (WR: Tennessee Titans)

Circling back to the trade rumors, DeAndre Hopkins’ name has been brought up a couple of times. He’s the perfect candidate for a contending team that needs wide receiver help. He’s averaging 7.8 targets per game in Tennessee in a low-volume passing offense. Right now he’s a decent WR3 option, but if he were to go to a more stable team in a slightly better passing situation, Hopkins could jump back up into the WR2 range.

On another note, Derrick Henry has been rumored to be involved in trade discussions. If the Titans were to move on from Henry, it’d change the whole dynamic of the offense and give the receivers a bump. David Njoku is firmly a top 3 option in the passing game and that’s what you want from your starting fantasy tight end. Looking ahead at the schedule, Njoku has a couple of red matchups coming up, but after that tough stretch, it’s all green for the rest of the season. Brown averaged 7.2 receptions on 10.7 targets with 80.83 yards and 18.25 PPG. Murray was a close call last week and it’s just a matter of time before he’s back in the lineup. The Murray-Brown combination could finish where it left off last season. Marquise Brown has a league-winning upside.

Players to Sell

Derrick Henry (RB: Tennessee Titans)

The rumor mill can be a scary place. Derrick Henry has been involved in some trade chatter and analysts have been proposing ideas. If he does move on from his longtime team, Derrick Henry’s value would plummet. Not many, if any, other teams will give Henry the sheer amount of touches he receives in Tennessee. Collecting draft capital or other future assets is a top priority. Jerry Jeudy has had a rather disappointing season and not quite sure a midseason team change is the answer. Currently, Jerry Jeudy’s value isn’t all that high, but someone might want him to fill a bye week or for depth purposes.
