That now makes three straight games with at least 18 fantasy points for Howell. He also has scored at least 16 fantasy points in five of his six games and topped the 20-point threshold twice. On the season, he’s averaging 17.73 fantasy points per game which puts him as the QB15.

This week he gets a nice matchup against the New York Giants. That’s just the nature of the beast at the running back position, unfortunately. This week, it was Christian McCaffrey who left the game for the San Francisco 49ers with an oblique injury. It seemed minor as he returned to the game for a play but then left again for the rest of the game. It’s very possible that McCaffrey will be able to play this week and that would render Jordan Mason unstartable. If McCaffrey were to miss, however, Mason would immediately jump into a great position to be one of the better Week 7 streamers. After McCaffrey went down, Mason out-snapped fellow backup Elijah Mitchell 15-7 while also getting five touches to Mitchell’s two. It could have been the 49ers easing Mitchell back in his first week active since early in the season, but Mason has been effective when given a chance before. Honestly, most running backs have as this is one of the best running schemers in the NFL. The matchup against the Minnesota Vikings isn’t amazing but the 49ers are 6.5-point favorites in a game with a 44-point combined total so if Mason is getting double-digit touches, that makes him a great option.

Honorable Mentions – Zach Evans (LAR – 0%) v PIT, Keaontay Ingram (ARI – 20%) @ SEA

Wide Receiver – Rashee Rice (KC – 45%) v LAC

Time and time again we see rookie wide receivers start to come on strong as the season progresses. Hopefully, Rashee Rice is the next in line among these success stories. He’s coming off a game in which he caught all four of his targets for a career-high 72 yards. That now marks two straight performances of at least 10 fantasy points for Rice and three of his last four games as well. He’s also seen at least four targets in all four games despite the limited playing time. Rice has only ran at least 50% of the routes just twice this season, but this past week was one of those.

That should hopefully be a good sign moving forward because his 30% TPRR is second on the Kansas City Chiefs to only Kadarius Toney and would rank him right in between Stefon Diggs and Ja’Marr Chase on the season if he qualified. They have allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season and the 50-point combined total is the second-highest on the week. This all should make Rice one of the better Week 7 streamers and if he starts to get more consistent playing time, could eventually push into weekly starter status.

WR TPRR leaders (at least 69 routes run to get Kupp & because nice):

1) Tyreek: 35%
2) K Toney: 33% 👀
3) Kupp: 32%
T4) Diggs: 30%
T4) R Rice: 30% 👀
T6) Chase: 29%
T6) Aiyuk: 29%
T6) M Evans: 29%

Let's get Toney & Rice some more routes please & see what happens!

cc: Andy Reid

— ✴️Rob Norton✴️ (@norton0723) October 16, 2023

Honorable Mentions – Michael Wilson (ARI – 23%) @ SEA, Curtis Samuel (WAS – 34%) @ NYG

Tight End – Luke Musgrave (GB – 18%) @ DEN

Picking on the Denver Broncos has been good business so far in 2023. The Broncos have had a historically bad defense in all aspects. That’s been true for tight ends as well as they have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to the position this season. Luke Musgrave came into the season with a lot of sleeper appeal after an exciting preseason. He hasn’t quite lived up to the hype but he has flashed at times scoring at least eight fantasy points in three of his five games so far. Musgrave has also drawn at least seven targets in two games. Christian Watson is back which limits his target upside but it should, hopefully, open up space over the middle for him to operate. Looking deeper at Musgrave’s underlying metrics, he’s had at least a 70% route participation in every game aside from the game he left early with a concussion. His target shares and TPRR have been good in all four games as well. He’s simply a good, athletic player running a lot of routes and gets an incredible matchup this week. Add it all up and Musgrave looks like one of the better Week 7 streamers at tight end.

Honorable Mentions – Michael Mayer (LV – 5%) @ CHI, Jonnu Smith (ATL – 19%) @ TB

Universal Responsible Gambling Disclaimer:

Ages 21+.
