The combination of a sluggish start to the season by the Giants and the 49ers looking bored by how easy winning in the NFL is making it pretty difficult to pick contrarian options. McCaffrey has gained 40% of them himself. He\u2019s got 304 yards in two games. He\u2019s proved to be virtually unstoppable in 2023, but there\u2019s always a chance that McCaffrey\u2019s next significant injury isn\u2019t far away.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Darius Slayton<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As good as the 49ers\u2019 offense (or CMC) has been at keeping the ball, the defense hasn\u2019t exactly been lights out so far. Steve Wilks\u2019 unit is ranked 23<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rd<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> after allowing 495 yards in two games. They\u2019ve allowed 669 total yards so far and last week they conceded 23 points against a Rams team without Cooper Kupp.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.giants.com\/video\/darius-slayton-makes-clutch-18-yard-catch-in-fourth-quarter-giants-vs-cardinals-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Slayton<\/a> is averaging 12.83 yards per reception in 2023. He has the second most receiving yards of any Giants receiver and only Darren Waller has seen more targets. He\u2019s one of the best DFS picks on DraftKings this week, he is the fourth most expensive receiver at $4,300. Slayton figures to be lining up opposite Deommodore Lenoir too and he\u2019s allowed eight completions this season. He\u2019s only seen three targets in 2023, but he is averaging 44.5 yards per reception! Hyatt should find himself up against either Isiaih Oliver who has allowed a 100% completion rate so far in 2023, or a linebacker. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Steve Wilks&#8217;s defense doesn\u2019t use as many defensive backs as his predecessor DeMeco Ryans\u2019. Judging by the Giants\u2019 offensive line performance so far this season Daniel Jones will be under a lot of pressure against the 49ers.
