He and Mark Andrews should both have huge games. Travis Kelce\u2019s possible absence moves Patrick Mahomes down to number two in the quarterback rankings, but <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PFF\/status\/1699170387525878121?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mahomes is good enough<\/a> that he should still produce great numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Jalen Hurts provides great value with his legs and has an elite group of receiving targets composed of A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. It would not be surprising to see a top-three finish from him this week. Joe Burrow may have the best receiving corps in the league between Ja\u2019Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd, but Cleveland\u2019s defense may cause him to start this season slowly.<\/p>\n<p>Justin Fields\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/08\/04\/justin-fields-2023-fantasy-football-outlook\/\" target=\"_self\">rushing ability<\/a> should help him be a consistent QB1 this year, but questions remain about his passing. Trevor Lawrence is entering year three and has a bevy of talented skill-position players at his disposal. He should be able to put up good stats against the Chargers defense, putting him atop this tier of the quarterback rankings. Dak Prescott has consistently been a solid option when healthy. Kirk Cousins has the best receiver in football, but <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">Tampa Bay<\/a> is a very tough matchup.<\/p>\n<p>Jared Goff is a quarterback who is being undervalued, and he will have to throw a lot to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/lions\/\" target=\"_self\">Detroit<\/a> in the game against <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\/\" target=\"_self\">Kansas City<\/a>. His weapons are good, and he will surprise a lot of people in week one. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/browns\/\" target=\"_self\">Cleveland<\/a> will probably try to run a lot against <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bengals\/\" target=\"_self\">Cincinnati<\/a>, hurting Deshaun Watson\u2019s ceiling in this game.<\/p>\n<h3>Tier 4: Streaming Options<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"14\">\n<li>Geno Smith<\/li>\n<li>Daniel Jones<\/li>\n<li>Anthony Richardson<\/li>\n<li>Russell Wilson<\/li>\n<li>Aaron Rodgers<\/li>\n<li>Derek Carr<\/li>\n<li>Sam Howell<\/li>\n<li>Kenny Pickett<\/li>\n<li>Matthew Stafford<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Geno Smith came out of nowhere to be a very serviceable fantasy quarterback last year. He\u2019s the streaming option with the highest floor, but <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/seahawks\/\" target=\"_self\">Seattle<\/a> will likely run a lot against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/rams\/\" target=\"_self\">Rams<\/a>, lowering his ceiling. Daniel Jones also has a high floor because of his rushing ability, but a low ceiling as he does not throw for many touchdowns. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/08\/31\/three-fantasy-football-targets-and-three-to-avoid\/\" target=\"_self\">Anthony Richardson<\/a> is a wildcard who could have a very high ceiling, but he struggled as a passer in college and is playing his first NFL game.<\/p>\n<p>Russell Wilson disappointed last year, and while Sean Payton is a much better coach than Nathaniel Hackett, Jerry Jeudy is injured, and Wilson is clearly on the decline. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/raiders\/\" target=\"_self\">Las Vegas<\/a> is a good matchup. Aaron Rodgers has a tough matchup and is coming off a poor season but has much better weapons than last year. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/saints\/\" target=\"_self\">New Orleans<\/a> has sneaky good options at the skill positions, so Derek Carr might be able to pass well against <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/titans\/\" target=\"_self\">Tennessee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Howell is hard to predict, but <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/cardinals\/\" target=\"_self\">Arizona<\/a> is a fantastic matchup for the second-year quarterback in his second career start. Pittsburgh is a very run-heavy team, but Diontae Johnson and George Pickens are good receivers that may help Pickett make a sophomore leap. With Kupp\u2019s injury, Matthew Stafford ranks at the very bottom of this tier of quarterback rankings. Stroud<\/li>\n<li>Arizona Cardinals Quarterback<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/03\/27\/bake-mayfield-tampa-bay-buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">Baker Mayfield<\/a> has struggled in recent years but has two great receivers in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Jordan Love is finally getting the chance to start, but it\u2019s hard to say how well he will do. Young is a great talent but is playing in his first game. Brock Purdy has elite weapons but is only a game manager for a run-heavy team.<\/p>\n<p>Desmond Ridder plays for the most run-heavy team in football, but Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson should give <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/falcons\/\" target=\"_self\">Atlanta<\/a> plenty of chances to score. Davante Adams should give Jimmy Garoppolo a floor, but the ceiling is nonexistent.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Tannehill has been good in the past but has regressed heavily over the last two seasons. Mac Jones has a very tough matchup, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/patriots\/\" target=\"_self\">Patriots<\/a> do not pass often. C.J. Stroud doesn\u2019t have many pass-catchers to throw the ball to and has yet to play an NFL snap.
