A wide receiver which many owners drafted no earlier than the fifth round is now a thing of the past.

St. Brown comes into the 2023 fantasy season with an ADP between 19-21 overall. Expect to use some early picks and adjust strategy if planning on rostering the young receiver.

With some question marks regarding the backfield the Lions may rely heavily on their passing game. St. Brown automatically becomes the top target especially with T.J. Hockenson gone to the Minnesota Vikings.

Last season, even with plenty of mouths to feed, St. Brown finished with 146 targets which was the eighth most in the league among wide receivers. Those targets led to him finishing as WR7 in standard PPR formats (267.6 points).

It is entirely possible that St. Brown finishes with over 1000 receiving yards once again, although managers would like to see the touchdown numbers go up. St. Brown finished 2022 with six touchdowns and totals 11 for his career.

Entering 2023, St. Brown is projected to finish at WR8, one spot below his 2022 finish.

Amon-Ra St. Brown is a TARGET MONSTER 🚀 pic.twitter.com/X5PZgcVeJe

— PFF Fantasy & Betting (@PFF_Fantasy) August 18, 2023

Is a Matthew Berry Endorsement Enough to Turn the Tide?

Of all the fantasy gurus, Matthew Berry tops most lists for any seasoned fantasy football veteran. In Berry’s latest “Ride or Die” he of course went with The Sun God himself.

An accredited source who picked Jalen Hurts as his ride or die in 2022, perhaps it is wise to follow in his footsteps once again. Of course, this is always up for interpretation.

In 10 team formats, wide receivers always run deep. While landing St. Brown as WR1 by giving up a second or third round pick may not be in the cards, there’s no shame in waiting for guys like Jaylen Waddle, Tee Higgins or even Chris Olave.

Wait even longer and the luck can find owners drafting a dark horse like Calvin Ridley.
