So, who are some players to watch out for in the current fantasy football season? Read further to discover potential players who could lead you to glory in 2023.

The Players Who Will Help You Win Your Fantasy League in 2023

Rachaad White Possible Workhorse

It is becoming increasingly rare to come across a running back who can handle the ball as frequently as twenty times per game. Yet, upon a closer look, it is evident that Rachaad White will significantly improve in 2023, particularly given Leonard Fournette’s release this offseason.

Last year, White proved himself to be a good pass-catcher. Notably, in 2022, he ranked among the top three running backs in terms of catch rate. Even with Chase Edmonds joining the Bucs team, White is still the best running back to have on your fantasy team, especially in points-per-reception (PPR) leagues. Although the offensive line is concerning, this is not a significant worry for White since he will catch many passes out of the backfield. Finally, the Bucs coaching staff has praised White this offseason and a new workhorse running back could emerge.

Elijah Moore’s Second Chance

Before his sophomore season, wide receiver Elijah Moore generated a lot of excitement due to his rookie success with the Jets. Unfortunately, Moore encountered difficulties with consistency and struggled to get targets as a pass catcher. As a result, the Jets traded him to the Browns during the offseason. This move was likely due to the Jets acquiring Aaron Rodgers as their new quarterback. Deshaun Watson was thrilled to have Moore on his team and during Browns training camp, Moore has been a standout player. With an average draft position (ADP) of 114, Moore has tremendous potential to break out and exceed his ADP. Could he be a valuable addition to your fantasy team? The answer is a resounding yes!

Michael Thomas is Ready for Redemption

It’s been a while since Michael Thomas set the record for most receptions in a single season back in 2019. Unfortunately, he has struggled with injuries since then. However, he has fully participated in training camp and Coach Allen has commented on his impressive performance thus far. It’s important to remember that many players tend to shine during training camp. There’s optimism that adding Derek Carr to the Saints lineup will help Thomas make a comeback. Of course, he must stay healthy. While it’s unlikely he’ll match his 2019 performance, if he stays healthy, he could be a potential game-changer in fantasy football leagues, especially at his average draft position (ADP).

Rashaad Penny’s New Team

During the offseason, the Eagles let go of Miles Sanders, causing concerns about who would take his place. However, they signed running back Rashaad Penny to a one-year contract to prove himself. You may wonder why he needs to prove himself. Well, if you look at his injury history, you’ll understand. In Week 5, he broke his fibula in the previous season, resulting in another season-ending injury. Many people have given up on him because of this.

Nevertheless, in the 2021 season, especially towards the end, Rashaad Penny helped numerous managers win their leagues after being picked up off waivers. Now, Rashaad Penny gets to play for the Eagles. If you thought the Seahawks liked to run the football, look at the Eagles last year. They were the third-most team in rush attempts and first in rush attempts in the red- zone. If Rashaad Penny can stay healthy and that’s a big “if,” he will do very well this season. His current average draft position for fantasy is at 96, making him a potential fantasy football steal!

Main Image: Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

Fantasy football enthusiasts are always looking for players who can help them win a championship.
