One of my favorite parts is fantasy football. One of my favorite aspects of fantasy football has become playing on DraftKings. Every week is like a new puzzle to figure out. Whether you are more of a cash game player or a tournament player, each presents a unique challenge. This week 48% of my recommendations hit the 2.5x value we look for in cash game lineups. This time the quarterback group led the way at an 80% success rate. Meanwhile, the running back group brought up the rear at a 28.6% success rate. Personally, it was another profitable week. We\u2019ll look to get it going even better with the picks and get more profits in the Week 15 DraftKings plays.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Week 14 \u2013 $184 \u2192 $111 <\/span><b>($73 LOSS)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Year Total \u2013 $2,984 \u2192 $3,330 <\/span><b>($346 PROFIT)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Quarterbacks<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Justin Herbert (LAC) \u2013 $7,200 v TEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justin Herbert started off 2022 right where he left off in 2021. Then his season took a dive after he suffered a rib injury that hampered his play. On top of that, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams haven\u2019t been healthy for most of the year either. They both are finally healthy and Herbert is heating up. He\u2019s scored at least 20 DraftKings points in four straight games now and is playing great football. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week he gets one of the juiciest matchups a quarterback can hope for against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/titans\/\" target=\"_self\">Tennessee Titans<\/a>. The Titans are an extreme pass funnel since they stop the run so well. Teams have simply decided they are going to pass early and often against their porous secondary. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/chargers\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> are not a very good running team as is so this should line up perfectly for Herbert. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Titans also allow the second-most DraftKings points to quarterbacks this year. This game also has a nice combined total of 46.5 points and will be played in a dome. Add it all up and Herbert looks like one of the best Week 15 DraftKings plays.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Justin Herbert is 50-of-62 (80.6%) with 116.5 passer rating when Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are on the field this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Chargers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Chargers<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BoltUp?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#BoltUp<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9Dxhb3fGve\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/9Dxhb3fGve<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Jeff Kerr (@JeffKerrCBS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JeffKerrCBS\/status\/1603491000655175684?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Mac Jones (NE) \u2013 $5,000 @ LV<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking of great matchups, Mac Jones gets a date with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/raiders\/\" target=\"_self\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> this week. The Raiders are allowing the sixth-most DraftKings points to quarterbacks in 2022. Jones isn\u2019t known for his gaudy numbers by any means but he is a serviceable quarterback that can take advantage of a good matchup.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Just a few weeks ago he put up 26.2 DraftKings points against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/vikings\/\" target=\"_self\">Minnesota Vikings<\/a> in a similar game environment to this one. The Raiders allow more production through the air than on the ground even to the running backs. They also have a good enough offense to push other teams into needing to score more. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This game will also be played in a dome which helps both offenses as well. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/patriots\/\" target=\"_self\">New England Patriots<\/a> are one-point underdogs in a game with a solid 44.5-point combined total. Jones\u2019 $5,000 salary is cheaper than some backup quarterbacks and simply too cheap given the context.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Others to Consider: Andy Dalton<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NO) \u2013 $5,200 v ATL, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Jalen Hurts<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (PHI) \u2013 $8,200 @ CHI, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Dak Prescott<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DAL) \u2013 $6,200 @ JAX<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>Running Backs<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Alvin Kamara (NO) \u2013 $6,800 v ATL<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alvin Kamara is another player that has had a rollercoaster season to this point. Unfortunately, he\u2019s been on a downward stretch lately. The silver lining to this is that his salary has dropped $1,000 in the last month and that makes him one of the best Week 15 DraftKings plays, especially from a point-per-dollar standpoint. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kamara is still averaging 15.1 DraftKings points per game this season despite the recent struggles. He even has a 42.8-point performance earlier this year. This week he gets a great matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/falcons\/\" target=\"_self\">Atlanta Falcons<\/a>. The Falcons are easier to beat through the air than on the ground but are an all-around bad defense. Not only that but Kamara is one of the premier pass-catching running backs in the NFL. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/saints\/\" target=\"_self\">New Orleans Saints<\/a> have a 24-point implied team total which is one of the better numbers on the slate. Kamara should pay off nicely at his salary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Zonovan Knight (NYJ) \u2013 $5,300 v DET<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heading into the season, Zonovan Knight wasn\u2019t on the fantasy radar outside of the deepest dynasty leagues out there. He wasn\u2019t even third-string on the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_self\">New York Jets<\/a> depth chart. But here it is in Week 15 and Knight has become a huge factor in both season-long leagues and DraftKings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He\u2019s now seen at least 17 touches in three straight games and scored at least 13 DraftKings points in each game in that span as well. There\u2019s no reason to expect the Jets to lessen his workload given how well he\u2019s played for them. This week\u2019s matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/lions\/\" target=\"_self\">Detroit Lions<\/a> isn\u2019t one to shy away from. The Lions are much worse against the pass than the run but they are a team that allows plenty of yards and points in general. Not only that but Knight is used as a pass-catcher as well. Assuming he keeps his current role, he should have no problem having another good game in this one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bam Knight in his 3 games this season <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Jets<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 298 total offensive yards (99.3 per game)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 5.0 yards per carry<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Caught 10 of 10 targets <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/STBQJ9Hl6B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/STBQJ9Hl6B<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Joe Caporoso (@JCaporoso) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JCaporoso\/status\/1602770391918735360?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 13, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Others to Consider: Josh Jacobs<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (LV) \u2013 $8,100 v NE, <\/span><\/i><b><i>James Conner<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ARI) &#8211; $6,900 @ DEN, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Derrick Henry<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (TEN) \u2013 $8,000 @ LAC, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Isiah Pacheco<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (KC) \u2013 $5,900 @ HOU, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Travis Etienne<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (JAX) \u2013 $6,000 v DAL<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>Wide Receivers<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Keenan Allen (LAC) \u2013 $6,800 v TEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keenan Allen has had an injury-riddled season in 2022 so far. He missed more than half the season with nagging injuries but has averaged 14.2 DraftKings points in his healthy games. That includes games in which he\u2019s gotten hurt and left early. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently Allen has been playing like his normal self since getting fully healthy. Over the past four games, he\u2019s scored at least 13 DraftKings points in all four games. Allen has also scored at least 20 DraftKings points in two straight games. He\u2019s seen 14 targets in each of those games and now gets that sweet matchup against the pass funnel that is the Titans. The Titans are allowing the second-most DraftKings points to wide receivers this year. As previously mentioned, this game has a nice 46.5-point combined total and is being played in a dome, all of which should boost Allen\u2019s outlook.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Chris Moore (HOU) \u2013 $4,300 v KC<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chris Moore essentially came out of nowhere last week to post a monster game for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/texans\/\" target=\"_self\">Houston Texans<\/a> in the absence of both Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Both of them will miss another game so Moore should be good to fire up once again. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The matchup is even better than last week when he caught ten of his 11 targets for 124 yards. That was good for 25.4 DraftKings points. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\/\" target=\"_self\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> have allowed the most DraftKings points to wide receivers so far this season. Whether their secondary is actually that bad or it\u2019s more a product of the fact teams need to throw more often, wide receivers have been able to find statistical success. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Texans are massive 14-point underdogs here and Dameon Pierce won\u2019t play so they should be throwing early and often. Then Dak Prescott got hurt and Schultz\u2019s fantasy value took a nosedive. Since Prescott has returned, Schultz has been much more productive. He\u2019s scored double-digit DraftKings points in four of his last six games. Schultz is averaging more than six targets per game during that span. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week he gets a nice matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/jaguars\/\" target=\"_self\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>. The Jaguars have allowed the eighth-most DraftKings points to tight ends this year. They are also a good offense and should push the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/cowboys\/\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> to need to drop back and pass more than usual in this one. This game has a 48-point combined total and the Cowboys have a 26-point implied team total. Both of those numbers are some of the highest on the slate. All of this makes Schultz one of the best Week 15 DraftKings plays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dalton Schultz is Back.<\/p>\n<p>Injury in Week 5 limited him for 5-6 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>But he just played his most snaps since week 1&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This led to a season-high 10 targets.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; SAL VETRI (@SalVetriDFS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SalVetriDFS\/status\/1603420367346978818?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Greg Dulcich (DEN) \u2013 $3,600 v ARI<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Greg Dulcich call didn\u2019t work so well last week but let\u2019s not let one game deter what looks like a great spot here against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/cardinals\/\" target=\"_self\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a>. The Cardinals are the best matchup a tight end can see. They\u2019ve allowed the most DraftKings points to tight ends this year and are simply not a good defense all around. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dulcich was a letdown last week but he also has been producing pretty well this year at levels rarely seen from rookie tight ends. Courtland Sutton is still out this week which bodes well for Dulcich\u2019s target share. The overall game environment isn\u2019t necessarily great with both teams sporting backup quarterbacks. However, this is simply too cheap for a tight end with this level of involvement in the offense. Dulcich should have a nice bounce-back performance in this one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Others to Consider: Chig Okonkwo<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (TEN) \u2013 $3,100 @ LAC, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Evan Engram<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (JAX) \u2013 $3,800 v DAL, <\/span><\/i><b><i>Travis Kelce<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (KC) \u2013 $7,800 @ HOU<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>Defense\/Special Teams<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of choosing a defense\/special teams, it\u2019s the last spot I fill in every week. It\u2019s pretty random but there are a few areas to gain an advantage. I aim to target the heavily favored teams, who usually play with a lead. This forces their opponent to throw it more often which can help lead to extra sacks and turnovers and hopefully a touchdown. Another aspect to target is turnover and sack-prone quarterbacks.
