It’s understandable considering he’s 32 years old and really never been very good. Not only that, but the Pete Carroll-led Seattle Seahawks have historically been very slow-paced and run-heavy. Things have changed on both fronts so far in 2022.

After a slow start (for fantasy purposes) Smith has been white-hot over the last three games. He’s scored at least 22.90 fantasy points in all three while averaging over 300 yards passing and multiple passing touchdowns per game. Smith is averaging over 27 fantasy points per game in that span. For the season he is the QB7 and is averaging just under 20 fantasy points per game.

The Seahawks have become a fast-paced and pass-heavy team as well. They also have a defense that can’t stop anyone, which has forced Smith and Seattle to have to keep their foot on the gas. This week against the Arizona Cardinals should be more of the same. The Cardinals are not a defense to be feared and they are a fast-paced offense that can put up points as well. Smith’s hot streak will likely continue into this week making him a great Week 6 Stream Team option.

Honorable Mentions – Jimmy Garoppolo (SF – 26%) @ ATL, Jameis Winston (NO – 32%) v CIN

Running Back – Kenneth Walker III (SEA – 45%) v ARI

From one Seahawk to another, Kenneth Walker III will be this week’s biggest waiver wire prize, and rightfully so. Unfortunately, Rashaad Penny went down with what appears to be a major injury. Penny fractured his fibula and will likely need surgery which would end his season. It’s a brutal blow for a player that has had an injury-plagued career to this point.

When a running back goes down, the backup generally gets a massive boost in value. That’s especially true in a situation where the backup is a rookie filled with promise and upside. Kenneth Walker III was a borderline elite prospect coming out of college. In his senior season at Michigan State last year, he had over 1,700 total yards and 19 touchdowns. Walker III then proceeded to run a 4.38 40-yard dash which was 98th percentile. He also had a 99th percentile dominator score and a 96th percentile speed score according to Player Profiler on his way to becoming an early second-round pick.

His rookie year has gotten off to a slow start due to injury but he’s now in line for a massive workload moving forward. The Seahawks have been a surprisingly good offense, especially for fantasy purposes. All he continues to do is draw targets at a high level and put up respectable fantasy points on a weekly basis yet he can’t seem to break the 50% roster threshold. Meyers should likely be started in more than 50% of fantasy leagues, let alone simply rostered in that many. He’s scored double-digit PPR points in all three games in which he’s played so far.

After missing the past two weeks with a knee injury, Meyers returned and picked up right where he left off. He caught seven of his eight targets for 111 yards and a touchdown. Meyers is now averaging nine targets, 87 receiving yards, and more than 6 receptions per game this season. His target share sits at 32%, a number that generally only truly elite wide receivers can achieve over the course of an entire season.

This week’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns is neither one to attack nor avoid. Hayden Hurst hasn’t been anything special by any means, but you don’t have to be special to be a viable option at tight end. This past week Hurst had his best performance of the season as the Cincinnati Bengals lost a close one against the Baltimore Ravens.

Tee Higgins aggravated his ankle injury early in the game and that may have contributed to an increased role for Hurst in this one. He’s also scored at least 7.40 fantasy points in four games this year including a 17.30-point performance in this one.
