Through three weeks, Hurts has more rushing attempts and rushing touchdowns than any quarterback. He trails only Lamar Jackson in rushing yards and trails only Jackson and Josh Allen in fantasy points. Hurts has scored at least 24.72 fantasy points in all three games and carried the ball at least nine times in all three games as well. He’s continued to progress as a passer too. It turns out adding a stud weapon like A.J. Brown does, in fact, help a bit. This week’s matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars looks like another great spot. Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles currently sit as 7.5-point favorites with a 26-point implied team total. The Jaguars offense is much more competent this year which should help and allow Hurts to keep his foot on the gas all the way through in this one.

Geno Smith (SEA) – $5,400 @ DET

If you had told me I’d be highly recommending Geno Smith in Week 4, I’d have told you that you were crazy. But here we are, in Week 4, and Smith looks like arguably the best point-per-dollar play there is at quarterback. In the first two weeks, the Seattle Seahawks played extremely slow. Smith did not have great fantasy days but he completed more than 80% of his passes in both games. In Week 3 when they sped the pace up, Smith was able to put up 22.9 fantasy points. He still completed 72% of his passes on 44 attempts but this time had 325 yards and two touchdowns. This week’s matchup against the Detroit Lions is a juicy one. The Lions have a good offense but have allowed the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far. This game is also going to be played in a dome and has one of the highest combined totals at 48 this week. This week looks like one of those weeks. D’Andre Swift has been officially ruled out in this one. That is going to thrust Williams into a workhorse role. He was already RB8 on the season and that was in a part-time role. The Lions’ offensive line has been biting all the knee caps that coach Dan Campbell had hoped for before the season and has been one of the best units in the league. As previously mentioned, this game environment is one of the best on the slate. The Seahawks have also been gashed by the run as they’ve allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to running backs so far. In addition to Swift likely being out, star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has already been ruled out. The Lions seem very likely to establish the run and lean heavily on Williams in this one. The game environment combined with the extra workload combined with the salary makes Williams easily one of the best Week 4 Draftkings plays.

Khalil Herbert (CHI) – $5,700 @ NYG

Speaking of extra workloads, Khalil Herbert should be in store for another workhorse role this weekend as well with David Montgomery ruled out. Herbert scored 33.9 fantasy points last week. That level of production shouldn’t be expected but it’s not out of the question either this week against the New York Giants. The Giants have allowed the eleventh-most fantasy points to running backs through three weeks this year. This game currently has a low combined total of 39.5 points and the Chicago Bears only have an implied team total of 18.25 points but they are also the most run-heavy team in the NFL. Herbert is a capable pass-catcher as well and should be looking at another 20+ touches here. We finally saw Kyle Pitts get more involved this past week. Arthur Smith finally realized he has a mismatch nightmare on his hands and should design ways to get the ball in his hands. Pitts came into his Sophomore season with a ton of promise only to score 3.9 fantasy points each of the first two weeks and leave fantasy managers scrambling for answers. Last week he saw eight targets and caught five of them for 87 yards. Pitts scored 13.7 fantasy points and that was without a touchdown. He was regularly ripping off chunk gains and making defenders look helpless. Hopefully, Smith realizes he needs to keep feeding this beast. This week the Atlanta Falcons get to take on the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are not an amazing matchup but not one to avoid either. The more appealing aspect of this matchup is the overall game environment. The 47.5-point combined total is one of the highest O/U on the slate and with a spread of only one point, it could turn into a back-and-forth shootout. We’ve talked plenty about how juicy this game environment looks and that holds true for Hockenson as well. Jared Goff has been very good so far this season and St. Brown has been the one that has benefited most to this point. It may seem like centuries ago but just last season Hockenson was the TE3 through the first 12 games of the season before St. Brown’s breakout. This could be the week to take advantage of what will likely be extra target volume for Hockenson.
