Further, his nastiness and high motor jump off the page. Starting at left tackle this season for the Aggies, Green is one of the draft’s most decorated blockers. In 2020 and 2021, Green was a consensus first team All-American. Interestingly, those were his sophomore and junior seasons, with Green entering the draft at 21-years-old. Also, both of those credentials were earned at the tackle position, though Green projects much more naturally at offensive guard. Without great speed but with eye-popping power, kicking inside will minimize many of Green’s weak traits.

This is some POWER on display in the run game by Kenyon Green.

Great techical play as well; great hand placement, fires of the ball, and churns his legs.

Love seeing 5-star defensive ends moved like blocking sleds. Posting a 5.85 relative athletic score, he ranked 27th amongst his peers. Certainly, tape tells more than testing, but it’s still a bit of a concern. However, he makes up ground with his 34-inch arms, which is tremendous for a guard. With that added reach, he’s able to better stay on balance and keeps him in good positions.

Further, that reveals itself on tape when edge rushers attempt to shove off from Green. Green combats these with continued engagement inside their pads, which is a beautiful technique. Granted, Green doesn’t have the ‘wow’ factor of some of the other first round talents. Instead, he shows play-to-play focus, good vision for the game, and unique physicality. While his speed is a little underwhelming his strength is a major upside. While his testing might’ve hurt the high end of his draft stock, it’s hard to imagine him making it out of Day One. With so many teams needing quality lineman, Kenyon Green is in the right draft class for his talents. Generally, teams will be thrilled when they see his run blocking ability on tape.
