Brady\u2019s father recently took to the airwaves ahead of the game but, according to the latest NFL rumors, Tom Brady does not share his father\u2019s sentiment towards the team. In other news, Ronnie Stanley is still seeking out medical opinions for his ankle, while Davis Mills is going to see an increase in responsibility next week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>NFL Rumors: Tom Brady, Ronnie Stanley, Davis Mills<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to Week 3\u2019s action, Tom Brady Sr. spent some time on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=E-qjvX7K0HA\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tom Curran\u2019s Patriot Talk podcast<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. While on the airwaves, the father of the seven-time Super Bowl champion said that Bill Belichick \u201cwanted [Brady] out the door\u201d and that both he and his son felt vindicated after winning the Super Bowl during his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While his father implied that Brady Jr. feels the same way, the quarterback is doing his best to respectfully distance himself from those comments. Appearing on the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s Go<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> podcast, Brady jokingly led off the podcast by saying he \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/lets-go-with-tom-brady-larry-fitzgerald-and-jim-gray\/id1584409759\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actually prepared a statement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that I wanted to say, and it\u2019s really all that I have to say on the subject. Comments made by Thomas Edward Brady, a 77-year-old insurance company CEO, who should know better at this point in his life, don\u2019t necessarily reflect the views or positions held by his son, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. So furthermore, should Tom Sr. continue to speak out on behalf of his son without the express written, Junior reserves the right to eventually pupt him in a home against his will. That\u2019s all I have to say.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brady followed this up by saying that he has \u201cthe greatest dad in the world\u201d that is \u201chis biggest supporter\u201d, and anyone that has children knows that hell hath no fury like a parent that believes their children were wronged. Speaking to reporters on Monday, head coach John Harbaugh said that Stanley is currently consulting with doctors regarding the severity of the ankle. Harbaugh added that the team should know about Stanley\u2019s timeframe later in the week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Stanley\u2019s absence, the team has turned to free agent signee Alejandro Villanueva. The longtime NFL veteran has filled in admirably, but it goes without saying that the team would prefer to have Stanley in their starting lineup. Baltimore\u2019s next three games are against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/broncos\/\" target=\"_self\">Denver Broncos<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/colts\" target=\"_self\">Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/chargers\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>, and each team has a pretty solid front seven that could make life difficult for Lamar Jackson.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[pickup_prop id=&#8221;12692&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Davis Mills To Handle Larger Role in Week 4<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting an NFL game as a rookie is never easy, but it\u2019s especially difficult when you have four days to prepare for your NFL debut. Third-round pick Davis Mills did the best he could in place of an injured Tyrod Taylor, but the team was clearly trying to limit his responsibilities throughout the evening. However, now that he has a full 10 days to prepare, head coach David Culley said that the rookie will have more responsibilities in his second start.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking on SportsTalk 790, Culley said that Mills is \u201cgoing to have a lot more put on him\u201d while adding that \u201che\u2019ll be able to handle that. We\u2019re just going to run our offense and let him handle it from there.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mills didn\u2019t look that great in his first extended taste of NFL action, but he\u2019s far from alone. Every single rookie quarterback has had a tough start out of the gate, and it\u2019s too early to give up on any of them. These collective struggles by the rookies just go to emphasize the difficulty of the NFL, and that the Justin Herbert\u2019s of the world are few and far between.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/riversmccown\/status\/1439672016777383936?s=20<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houston faces off against a white-hot <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bills\" target=\"_self\">Buffalo Bills<\/a> team in Week 4.
