Winston is a start in Week 2 facing off against an average Carolina Panthers defense.

Derek Carr on the other hand is a sit for this week. Carr was impressive on Monday night, throwing for 435 yards and two touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens stout defense. However, managers thinking about streaming Carr this week should think again as the Pittsburgh Steelers defense had Josh Allen running for his life during Week 1.

Honorable Mention Starts: Teddy Bridgewater (vs. Jacksonville), Baker Mayfield (vs. Houston)

Honorable Mention Sits: Tua Tagovailoa (vs. Buffalo), Matt Ryan (vs. Tampa Bay)

[pickup_prop id=”11930″]

Running Back – Kareem Hunt (Start), Mike Davis (Sit)

Kareem Hunt is a must-start this week going up against a porous Houston Texans‘ defense. With the Cleveland Browns likely to go up big in this game, expect Hunt and teammate Nick Chubb to get lots of carries.

After holding Ezekiel Elliot to 33 yards rushing last week, Mike Davis is a sit candidate in Week 2. Not only do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the best-run defense in football, but the Atlanta Falcons should be trailing for most of this game. This will mean lots of pass attempts for Matt Ryan and fewer carries for Davis.

Honorable Mention Starts: Ronald Jones (vs. Atlanta), Damien Harris (vs. NYJ)

Honorable Mention Sits: Josh Jacobs (vs. Pittsburgh), James Robinson (vs. Denver)

Wide Receiver – Mike Evans (Start), Tyler Boyd (Sit)

Fantasy managers may be panicking after Mike Evans’ disappointing Week 1 performance but they shouldn’t be. While he could definitely bounce back this week, it is hard to trust Boyd as a starter for the time being. It is best to leave him on your bench this week to see if week one was a fluke.

Honorable Mention Starts: Courtland Sutton (vs. Jacksonville), Jakobi Meyers (vs. NYJ)

Honorable Mention Sits: Marquez Callaway (vs. Carolina), DJ Moore (vs. New Orleans)

Tight Ends – Jonnu Smith (Start), Mike Gesicki (Sit)

While the New England Patriots tight ends were a fade last week, this week they are a must-start, especially Jonnu Smith. Smith is the number one tight end on the Patriots depth chart and should have his way this week. The New York Jets allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends last season.

After putting up zero fantasy points last week, Mike Gesicki is an obvious fade candidate against a good Buffalo Bills defense. There are simply too many mouths to feed in this crowded Miami Dolphins offense, especially with Will Fuller returning.

Honorable Mention Starts: Jared Cook (vs. Dallas), Robert Tonyan (vs. Detroit)

Honorable Mention Sits: Austin Hooper (vs. Houston), Anthony Firkser (vs. Seattle)

Defense – New England Patriots (Start), Indianapolis Colts (Sit)

The Patriots’ defense has a great matchup this week against a Jets offense that struggled to put up points in week one. Factor in that they have one of the worst offensive lines in football with Mekhi Becton out and the Patriots should be able to create some turnovers.

The Indianapolis Colts defense is a fade this week against a high-powered Los Angeles Rams offense. Last week the Colts were torched through the air by Russell Wilson and Matthew Stafford should have no issue doing the same.

Honorable Mention Starts: Arizona Cardinals (vs. Minnesota), Las Vegas Raiders (vs. Pittsburgh)

Honorable Mention Sits: Miami Dolphins (vs. Buffalo), Baltimore Ravens (vs. Kansas City)

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy football is back after an exciting week one slate of games.
