Hurts reportedly was hospitalized with a stomach infection and was instructed to stay home for at least two days. Entering yesterday\u2019s game, everyone expected quarterback Jalen Hurts to see a good amount of time with the starting offense. However, when the game actually started, longtime veteran Joe Flacco was under center. As the game progressed, reports leaked that Hurts came down with an illness just before kickoff that was not COVID-related.<\/p>\n
Once the game came to a close, ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter reported that the quarterback was diagnosed with a stomach infection and told to stay at home for at least two days. This is obviously an unfortunate setback for Hurts, as reports out of camp indicated that the second-year pro had put together a few solid practices against the Patriots.<\/p>\n
