Not at all. If we look at the teams playing this year and what they did last year, the changes they made or did not make in the off-season, we can with some certainty predict who will be in the Super Bowl next year. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Way Too Early Super Bowl LII Prediction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots are set to battle it out on February 5th, but looking forward to the off-season and next year, it\u2019s not too hard to imagine an entirely different scenario. Maybe <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradTo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tom Brady<\/a><\/strong> retires (should he?) and go out while he is on top? Or will he be plagued by injuries next year, and even if so, will it matter to the Patriots, who started well without him at the beginning of the season? Who will they lose to free agency? Surely there will be coaching changes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can Atlanta repeat next year? They made an astonishing turnaround from last year&#8217;s late season slide, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RyanMa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matt Ryan<\/a><\/strong> came into his own as an NFL quarterback. He had some great targets, and with the addition of pro-Bowl center <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MackAl20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Mack<\/a><\/strong> to the offensive line, Ryan was much better protected. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minnesota Vikings and the Falcons Path<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2015, the Falcons started 5-0\u00a0and then ended the season 8-8. Sound familiar, Vikings fans? Matt Ryan had his doubters, and so does <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradSa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Bradford<\/a><\/strong>. But Bradford managed a 71.6 completion percentage this year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does he have a pair of targets like the Falcons\u2019 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoneJu02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Julio Jones<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SanuMo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mohamed Sanu<\/a><\/strong>? Potentially. Jones and Sanu combined for nearly 70% of Atlanta\u2019s pass completions this year. Vikings receivers <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DiggSt00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stefon Diggs<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/ThieAd00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Thielen<\/a><\/strong> accounted for around 65% of the Vikings completions this year, and there is nothing that says they could not add to that percentage as Bradford comes into his own. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Vikings will have to add depth at the offensive line, one made porous this year by injuries. They\u2019ll have to look to free agency or the draft, but they already have a solid defensive corps with Pro-Bowler <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SmitHa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harrison Smith<\/a><\/strong> and linebackers <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BarrAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Barr<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KendEr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eric Kendricks<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So prediction #1: The Vikings will play in Super Bowl LII.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Raiders upset the Patriots<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s all about location, location, location. The Oakland\u00a0Raiders have a huge following around the country, and next year they are offering fans from around the country an excuse to go to Vegas eight times a year. Most fans responded with a simple \u201cChallenge accepted!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But what does the team need to do in the off-season to knock the mighty Patriots off their throne? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Raiders might need to look at a new defensive coordinator. As talented as <\/span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/N\/NortKe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ken Norton<\/a> Jr,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is, he has had a huge player turnover over the last two years. However, great coaches harness the players they have and elevate their games accordingly.<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/I\/IrviBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bruce Irvin<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoseKa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karl Joseph<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MackKh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Khalil Mack<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=NelsRe99,NelsRe20&amp;search=Reggie+Nelson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reggie Nelson<\/a> <\/strong>are all standouts, and while they did well this year, many feel they could have done better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On offense, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CarrDe02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derek Carr<\/a><\/strong> is solid, and the offensive line did a great job protecting him. He has <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CoopAm00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amari Cooper<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CrabMi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Crabtree<\/a><\/strong> as targets\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MurrLa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Latavius Murray<\/a><\/strong> in the backfield.
