Position: <\/b>Interior O-line More 2021 NFL Draft Profiles<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Offensive line offers arguably the deepest class of prospects at the position in the 2021 NFL draft. Georgia anchor Trey Hill looks to find his way on an NFL roster in a loaded class with talent everywhere. His college career saw both highs and lows. Bolstering a Bulldog line in 2020 that went 12-2, Hill is a girthy center who has had starts at both guard spots as well. A big decision to get surgery on both his left and right meniscus had him sit his final two games at Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n A top 150 recruit out of Houston City high school, Hill made an immediate impact his true freshman year. He played in 14 games and even started the last four contests. Both running backs Hill paved the way for that year managed to hit 1,000 yards rushing. 14 starts as a sophomore may have been his best showing, as he received All-SEC honors in 2019.<\/span>Unfortunately, a torn meniscus in both knees stopped a solid 2020 campaign. His versatility will give him an edge on other late-round prospects. Many coaches covet a player who can snap the ball and slide to guard. Hill shows promise in the second level. His 6\u20195\u201d, 320-pound frame creates matchup issues for linebackers and he also absorbs bull-rushes. A team with a heavy load for the running back would do well drafting a player like Hill who can come in and contribute to a 2,000-yard season. The Tennessee Titans<\/a> and Derrick Henry may look to his services to pave a path for the former Heisman winner.<\/span><\/p>\n The tumultuous part of Hill\u2019s college career were the two serious knee injuries. A decision to have surgery before entering the draft could both help or hinder Hill\u2019s draft stock. Coaches looking for a tactical, handsy offensive lineman will probably pass on Hill. His hand placement is sloppy and control over his body could use fine tuning as well. Hill also doesn\u2019t initiate with his defender aggressively, more so absorbing contact rather than moving someone. If recovery from his injuries is swift, good coaching could certainly alleviate the tactical issues Hill has.<\/span><\/p>\n With much to evaluate before being selected, Trey Hill looks to be on the cusp of landing somewhere in the NFL draft. Teams with injuries after camp or OTA\u2019s could see him join a practice roster as an undrafted free agent. Conversely, Hill could recover from injury in time to be involved as a depth piece going into the 2021 NFL season.
