Not excelling, but showing stability with the Buckeyes, Myers is an interesting project for the next level. Starting on the inside for two seasons and named First-Team All-Big Ten in 2020, he’s a proven talent. Certainly, he’s battle-tested from his two seasons manning the center position for the Buckeyes. Playing alongside Wyatt Davis and Thayer Munford, the group pushed the team to back-to-back playoff appearances.

Plus, he was a four-star recruit out of Miamisburg High School in 2017. Ranked Ohio’s top prospect and 53rd in the nation, he stayed home to play with nearby Ohio State. Still, he didn’t thrive as a Buckeye despite team success. His Pro Football Focus grade of 65.4 ranked 69th among centers in 2020. Further, his pass-blocking grade of 65.9 ranked 92nd in college football. Still, his size and consistency will make NFL teams interested in his talents. Finding players with his physical make-up later in the draft can be a rarity. Plus, he comes from a program that has a history of providing the league with talented offensive linemen. Josh Myers also has the experience of protecting elite professional talent, keeping defenders from Justin Fields. While he doesn’t have the pedigree of some of his peers, his talent jumps off the page on film. With a burly body and significant strength, Myers could be a quick fit for the professional game. Still, working with a professional coach to clean up his technique could go a long way towards his long-term success. He could slip down the board, perhaps into day three, if teams are wary of his current tools. However, it’s hard to imagine there’s not a team early on that desires his physical tools.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Foregoing his senior season at Ohio State, Josh Myers is a big-bodied prospect with a chance to grow into a special talent at the next level.

[1647,33760
8070,2030
post-110865","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-profiles","tag-josh-myers","tag-nfl-draft-profiles
["GET
