Once veteran tackle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SoldNa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Nate Solder<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2020\/08\/06\/nate-solder-opt-out-could-signal-worst-nfl\/\" target=\"_self\">opted out<\/a>, the Giants named Fleming the starting right tackle after training camp.<\/p>\n<p>Fleming rotated with 3<sup>rd<\/sup>-round rookie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PearMa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Matt Peart<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> who saw more snaps as the season went on. Fleming allowed six sacks and 35 pressures on the right side for Big Blue in 2020. The New York Giants will likely sign another veteran tackle or draft a developmental project to replace Cameron Fleming at the swing tackle spot.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/patriots\" target=\"_self\">New England Patriots<\/a> drafted Fleming with the 90<sup>th<\/sup> pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Fleming won two Super Bowls in three appearances (2014, 2016, 2017) with the Patriots from 2014-2017. He started 20 of the 47 games he appeared in at both tackle spots and on special teams. During his 47 games in New England, Fleming allowed only 12 sacks in 994 pass-blocking snaps.<\/p>\n<p>Head coach Joe Judge worked with Fleming as apart of the special teams unit back in New England during his tenure.<\/p>\n<p>After 2017, Fleming signed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/cowboys\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a>. Fleming was the primary swing tackle behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SmitTy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Tyron Smith<\/strong><\/a> and La\u2019el Collins. He started six of the 28 games he appeared in while playing for America\u2019s Team.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the New York Giants hired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ColoMa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Marc Colombo<\/strong><\/a> to serve as the offensive line coach and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GarrJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jason Garrett<\/strong><\/a> to serve as the offensive coordinator. Garrett was the head coach in Dallas from 2010-2019 and Colombo served as the offensive line coach from 2018-2019.
