Longtime NFL veteran quarterback Colt McCoy<\/a> signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>. McCoy spent the 2020 season with the New York Giants<\/a> but has also played for the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, San Francisco 49ers<\/a>, and Washington Football Team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Colt McCoy spent the 2020 season as New York\u2019s primary backup. However, thanks to injuries, McCoy ended up making two starts while appearing in two others. In total, McCoy completed 40 of his 66 passes for 375 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a 36.5 QBR. In total, the Giants went 1-1 in the games he started.<\/p>\n

McCoy initially joined the NFL as a third-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Selected by the Cleveland Browns, McCoy found his way into the starting lineup midway through his rookie season. In total, the Texas product went 2-6 in his eight starts while completing 60.8% of his passes for 1,576 yards, six touchdowns, nine interceptions, and a 52.8 QBR.<\/p>\n

McCoy did enough to earn the starting job heading into 2011. Unfortunately, he couldn\u2019t build on his rookie season, as the quarterback went 4-9 while completing 57.2% of his passes for 2,733 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The team selected Brandon Weeden<\/a> in the 2012 NFL Draft, forcing McCoy into the backup role for the remainder of his Cleveland tenure.<\/p>\n

McCoy spent the 2013 season with the San Francisco 49ers, but only attempted one pass during his lone season on the west coast. Following that campaign, McCoy spent the next five seasons with the Washington Football Team. While he spent the majority of his Washington tenure on the bench, McCoy made six starts and several relief appearances for Robert Griffin<\/a>, Kirk Cousins<\/a>, and Alex Smith<\/a>. In total, McCoy completed 68.2% of his passes for 1,679 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions while in Washington.<\/p>\n

Throughout the course of his 10-year career, McCoy has completed 60.7% of his passes for 6,455 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions.<\/p>\n
