Suh spent the 2020 season with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Five-time Pro Bowl DT Ndamukong Suh is closing in with the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bucs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Bucs<\/a> on a one-year deal worth $9 million fully guaranteed plus incentives, per source. <\/p>\n<p>Entering Year 12, Suh has made an impact on and off the field in Tampa. He recorded six sacks as Tampa Bay earned an 11-5 record and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Suh impressed in his age 34 season. Part of a strong defensive line, he tallied 44 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and forced a fumble.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suh played 2020 on a one-year deal after <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2020\/03\/25\/ndamukong-suh-re-signs-tampa-bay-buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">re-signing with Tampa Bay<\/a> in the offseason. He first signed for Tampa Bay prior to the 2019 season, also on a one-year contract. Suh also started all 16 games in 2019 but only recorded 2.5 sacks &#8211; the lowest sack total of his career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suh signed for Tampa Bay after making the first Super Bowl appearance of his career with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/rams\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angles Rams<\/a>. The defensive tackle signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2018\/03\/27\/ndamukong-suh-signs\/\" target=\"_self\">one-year, $14 million contract<\/a> with the Rams in 2018 and was a force on the defensive line during Los Angeles\u2019 playoff run. Suh recorded 1.5 sacks in the Rams 26-23 NFC Championship overtime victory over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/saints\/\" target=\"_self\">New Orleans Saints<\/a>. He also made two tackles in Super Bowl 53 as the Rams lost 13-3 to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/patriots\/\" target=\"_self\">New England Patriots<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suh\u2019s time with the Rams came after a lackluster three seasons with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/dolphins\/\" target=\"_self\">Miami Dolphins<\/a>. Miami made Suh the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history at the time of signing in 2015. Signing him to a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">six-year, $114 million contract with $60 million guaranteed. Suh was <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2018\/03\/12\/miami-dolphins-release-ndamukong-suh\/\" target=\"_self\">released three years into the contract<\/a> having recorded 15.5 sacks in three seasons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/lions\/\" target=\"_self\">Detroit Lions<\/a> selected Suh second overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in Detroit where he made a name for himself with his aggressive style of play. He racked up 36 sacks in 78 games for the Lions. Suh played his college career at the University of Nebraska.
