Floyd signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles in April 2020 and went onto record 10.5 sacks for the Rams this past season. This marked the first time he hit the double-digit mark since entering the league in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Floyd joined a dominant defense that included star names on the defensive side of the ball such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DonaAa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Donald<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RamsJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jalen Ramsey<\/a> among others. In the team&#8217;s Wild Card Round game against division rival <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/seahawks\/\" target=\"_self\">Seattle Seahawks<\/a>, Floyd sacked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WilsRu00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russell Wilson<\/a> twice en <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2021\/01\/05\/2020-wild-card-weekend-best-game-rams-seahawks\/\" target=\"_self\">route to a 30-20 win<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Floyd was originally drafted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bears\/\" target=\"_self\">Chicago Bears<\/a> in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Bears even picked up the pass rushers fifth-year option as part of his rookie deal. However, Chicago released Floyd in March 2020 after only four seasons. Floyd had the lowest sack rate of his career in 2019, getting to the quarterback three times in 16 games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Floyd was also durable in 2018 as he started all 16 games for the Bears, returning four sacks over that time. He also recorded his only career interception in 2018 returning that pick for a touchdown. In 2017, Floyd only appeared in 12 games, recording four and a half sacks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Expectations were high for Floyd in Chicago. General Manager Ryan Pace selected Floyd with the ninth overall pick in the 2016 draft. The Bears traded up in the first round to draft Floyd. He was regarded as one of the top available edge rushers in the draft.
