The season started slow with Higgins inactive for two of the Browns first six games. The tides turned in Week 7 when he had his first 100-yard game with six receptions for 110 receiving yards in a 37-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Higgins finished the regular season with 37 receptions, a career-high 599 receiving yards and four touchdowns. During the playoffs, he added seven receptions for 116 yards.<\/p>\n<p>In NFL.com Nick Shook\u2019s yearly Unsung Hero list, he named Higgins as Cleveland\u2019s \u2018under the radar\u2019 star. He stated \u201cHiggins\u2019 played a key role in Cleveland\u2019s passing offense alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LandJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jarvis Landry<\/a>, occupying the intermediate level of the field to make timely grabs in clutch moments down the stretch in the Browns run to the playoffs\u2026 they should think first of his timely catches and occasional walks down the end zone\u2019s red carpet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, the Browns tendered Higgins when he was set to become a restricted free agent. His first touchdown reception of the season came in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills. It was a seven-yard pass from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MayfBa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baker Mayfield<\/a> that would be the game-winner.<\/p>\n<p>2018 was a solid year for Higgins, who snatched 39 receptions for 572 yards and four touchdowns. 2017 began with Higgins on the practice squad but he was promoted to the active roster on September 16.
