He was the first quarterback selected, over other quarterbacks like Super Bowl Champion & MVP Patrick Mahomes, and fellow Pro Bowler Deshaun Watson. Trubisky has made one Pro Bowl, after his 2018 season.

In the 2020 Season, Trubisky was the Bears’ opening day starter. He played the first two games of the season, recording 432 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions total in both games. The Bears were able to win both games. However, in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, Trubisky was benched in the third quarter when the Bears were trailing by 16 points, and Bears quarterback Nick Foles, former Super Bowl MVP with the Philadelphia Eagles, took over.

Foles was able to win that game and took the starting job from Trubisky until Week 12. Due to an injury to Nick Foles, Trubisky was named starting quarterback again. Trubisky started the rest of the season, leading the Bears to a 3-3 record in those games. The Bears finished the season at 8-8 and were able to make the playoffs as the 7 seed. However, their season ended with a first-round exit in a 21-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

In the 2019 season, Trubisky played 15 games and finished with 3,138 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The Bears finished with an 8-8 record and missed the playoffs.

In his 2018 campaign, Trubisky played 14 games and finished with 3,223 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He made the Pro Bowl in that season, and the Bears won the NFC North with a 12-4 record. However, they were knocked out of the playoffs in the Wild Card Round against the 6 seed Eagles, to the infamous “double doink” by former Bears Kicker Cody Parkey.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Veteran NFL quarterback Mitchell Trubisky signed a new contract with the Buffalo Bills.
