However, in Week 9 of the Regular Season, he signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the eight regular season games he played, Brown recorded 45 catches for 483 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Before the 2019 season, Brown was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers received a 2019 third-round pick (Diontae Johnson) and a 2019 fifth-round pick (Zach Gentry) in exchange for Brown. The Raiders then signed him to a three year, $50.1 Million deal. However, before Brown played a game with the Raiders, he was released by them two days before the season opener.

He was released for “conduct detrimental to the team” and the guaranteed money in his contract was voided, on top of a $215,000 fine. After this, the New England Patriots signed him to a 1 year, $15 million contract, and he played one game in week two, against the Miami Dolphins. He recorded four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ 43-0 win. However, he was once again released after this game and was not signed again until the Buccaneers in 2020.

During his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers, from 2010 to 2018, Brown had seven 1,000+ yard receiving seasons along with 74 total touchdowns. He was statistically one of the most productive players in the league, but the off-the-field problems were the reason he was released several times.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Longtime NFL veteran wide receiver Antonio Brown is no longer a free agent.
