Both sides reportedly were aiming for the deal to be done prior to the start of the 2016 NFL regular season. \u00a0Today, the Steelers got a contract extension done for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelers.com\/team\/roster\/David-DeCastro\/77df3eb5-6638-4fa8-88a0-74a43a25a457\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David DeCastro<\/a>. \u00a0The deal is reported to be for six years and worth $58 million, keeping DeCastro as a staple on the Steelers offensive line through the 2021 season, according to NFL Network&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet\/status\/774003710091550720\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ian Rapaport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Steelers Sign DeCastro to 6-Year Contract Extension<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Steelers?src=hash\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Steelers<\/a> G David DeCastro\u2019s new, 6-year deal is worth $58.07M, source said.
