Chuba Hubbard Over 60 Rushing Yards (+160)
This seems like a low line at first glance. Hubbard has been a breakout weapon for Carolina this season, averaging 81.1 yards per contest (6th most in the NFL). He is also coming off a career-high 153 rushing yards against the Giants last week.
So why is Hubbard’s line so generous? Unfortunately for he and the Panthers, Kanas City has a frighteningly effective rush defense. The Chiefs currently rank as the third-best in the league at containing opposing running backs, surrendering just 85.3 yards per contest.
Don’t expect Hubbard to be as reliable as normal. However, the Panthers’ top weapon should be a relatively safe bet to surpass the 60 yard mark.
Xavier Worthy Anytime Touchdown (+200)
Kansas City will be focused and ready to bounce back from their first loss of the season. It also stands to reason that they may spend the latter part of the year developing options to help them overcome top opponents like Buffalo.
Worthy has been somewhat underwhelming during his brief stint in Kansas City. While he has flashed his explosive upside on occasion, he has never truly rivaled Travis Kelce as KC’s top weapon.
If the Chiefs are intent on establishing new ways to combat top opponents, developing chemistry between Worthy and Mahomes is the perfect place to start. And what better what to help the two get on the same page than against a porous Panthers club that ranks in the bottom third of the league in pass defense.
